I told pretty much anyone I'm close to, but wish some I hadn't. I've experienced some unfortunate jelousy amongst people who didn't agree with my procedure, people who were telling me, I wouldn't lose as fast and the lap band was too new...In the end I call that jealousy because in the end my results will be as good if not better than theirs...less loose hanging skin, and my anatomy hadn't been altered.

Will I share this experience with more people? Yes absolutely- anything to help someone in my case! I believe in uplifting people, not tearing them down, but all people aren't like you and I.

Ditto! I'm absolutely in LOVE with Dr Liu and his staff!

Anxiety can bring on your menstrual cycle...at least that's my theory

I'm a bit nervous, I've never had surgery. But with a lot of prayer- I feel peace that my Dr. is the perfect doctor for me

I'm pre op also and my doctor suggested substituting only one meal for a Protein Shake instead of an absolute 2 week fast.

I thought about having my "pooch" removed early too, but I trust my doctor and I'll be patient and wait until after I am banded and have reached my goal.

Another thing to consider...after the weightloss from being banded your skin can loosen up more...your insurance is more likely to pay after the fact of being banded. Unfortunately they may consider having an "apron" removed before WLS as "cosmetic"

My reasons are:

knee & back pain...headaches...risk of diebetes and heart desease...wanting to lengthen my lifesapn... wanting to have childresn... and of course feeling pretty again :eek:
