when i get hiccups it is my "gentle reminder" that i am no longer hungry. if i continue eating, i will be VERY uncomfortable and possibly PB.Thanks I realley need to look at it as a reminder too... I've been hiccuping like crazy :crying:
-
I had a little shoulder and back pain following my surgery... it was the gas from the surgery and will shortly subside.
I will still bring my concerns to my doctor
Congrats on your new journey!!

I'm so sorry love, I know exactly how that feels.
When we eat too fast or don't chew thoroughly... or my God, even when we do we will often get the HSS's as I call 'em. Hiccups, Stuck, and Slime's.
I'll share my embaressing moment because I try my hardest not to wierd or freak my dad out at all. He's a United States Marine, but such a pancy about anything "sick related" LOL.
When I was leaving for my adjustment last week, I had trouble with a bean and cheese burrito stuck (flour tortilla is my enemy). While getting out of the car I coughed (I don't get down with the PB... I usually cough) and slimed all over me, all over my car seat and then all inthe driveway.
I mean how do I play that off as cool when my dad is standing there watering his roses? But dad did play it pretty cool, he asked if I was okay and while I went in the house to change, he hosed down the driveway and cleaned up my car! NOW THAT'S A FANTASTIC DAD!
Then Dad said he was going with me, he didn't want me driving to Orange County alone. :hurt:

I wait 1 hour after meals and don't drink within an hour before my meals.
Right now my band is very tight ( just had a fill 5 days ago) so even when I'm drinking I have to take baby sips and suck on ice chips.< /p>
-
My last fill was five days ago and I do feel tightness... but it could also be swelling from the band being tightened. I haven't vomited, but when I don't chew well or have too heaping of a spoon (I'm on pureed soft foods for a couple of days) I'll slime... wich is the hardest thing to clean up good gosh!

I've lost before, but with this fill things seem different. I had my fill on the 17th and today is the 21st. I've lost SEVEN amazing lbs and hey I'm on my cycle too so I know I'm retaining Water.< img src="https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/default_wink.png" alt=";)" srcset="https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Exercise not only helps me, but boosts up my morale. I circuit train at curves. The cool thing is while I'm building lean muscle I'm burning off more fat and tightening up. Sure the scale isn't always kind, but the inches!!! OMG! I've gone from a size 26 to a 14 in the last year. I would say those are fantastic results

I am soooo a slow loser. My surgery was on March 12, 2007 and I've gone from 270ish to 231 as of today.... argh soooo frustrating!

Sue my dear. I wouldn't worry about how many fills you have. I would go back until you hit your sweet spot. It took me 5 fills and 6 months to get there. Don't be shy of fills. How much can you eat?Feeling a bit frustrated myself... need a better fill... I know it's not strong enough when I can drink Water in a gulp...
-
mmm me thinks I'm gonna have a cup now

My doctor says if I lose on average seven lbs a month I'm good. I've been going for my fills every two months and have my third fill this friday
-
I also just take small sips during a meal, but not all the time
-
Slime Me a River is my new motto...
I know that when I do slime it's because I'm eating too fast, not chewing well enough or eating something I have no business eating....
It's definately a learning tool.

Sometimes early in the morning like 4am, my tummy sill start talking... the noises usually wake me up LOL! Sounds sorta like Water going down a clogged drain....
I know I'm weird:nerd:

If you cook ahead of time for your family....
You can put small amounts of food in the uber small tupperware dishes (they hold like a quarter cup of food)
Buy yourself some cute little dishes... it makes the food seem like more...

Or my journal LOL
seems as if we're going through the exact same thing. I'm extremely tight from my end feel, but not sick.....
I've also lost over 8 lbs since then.... and my doctor says if I don't lose 7 lbs in a month, I need another fill the following month.
How is your activity level?
-
Still tight.... but lost more. Is that the Pay off???
Not super Super tight, but I have to take the tinest of bites and eat extremly slooooowly....
I thought this only occurs after the third or fourth feel.
I feel wonderful and love the weight loss

I thought I had it under control. One day I can eat the next I can't. I have been vomiting all day to day. I don't want a unfill I am losing but I am misserable on somedays. I do fine that if I am expericeing stress it seems tighter. I have had a lot of it too. My dad was diagnosed with liver cancer after haveing colon cancer. My mom seems to need me more and I also have to babysit for my grandson (I choose to). I worry about my husband since I see him so little. Hes a long haul truck driver. So stress is bad. I think if I could just settle down and not try to use my shoulders for everyone else I would be ok. So I have been off and on with the all liquids to soft for days. I was ok all of last week but then my brother got sick. More stress. On top of all that I am working on getting my real estate licences so my hubby can be home more often.
Wow I'm studying for my Real Estate License too....
Good luck with that sweetheart!!!!

Yep the hiccup is a great indicator, even for drinking. I notice if I drink too much too soon... usually a gulp... Ill start to hiccup and I hate it because if I need to cough (I don't burp up) liquid will come up through my nose... not very comfortable.
