  1. I've always liked green tea, but I've re-newed my love for it lol and I feel like a maniac

there's a green tea jasmine tea that my friend got me hooked on because it totally doesn't need any sweetener! IMAGINE that LOL.... I've been making gallons and keeping it ice ICE cold in the fridge LOL.

What I really like is since I've been drinking it, I always make my Water quotia...

Please tell me I'm not the only looney toon about green tea lol, anyone else?

  2. My name is Desiree and I'm 3 years Post Op from the Lap Band Surgery. While the Lap Band was a positive thing for me, the weight loss is primarily due to exercise and careful dieting. I've been though a lot of diets and now knows what works for me!

I host a Lap Band Fitness Support Group every month in Moreno Valley for the Riverside County and Orange County areas. You're more than welcome to come and share and listen in. We had fun at our March session!

It's encouraging to meet and talk about our experiences and keeps us on track.

Contact me for info and I hope to meet you soon!

    Thanks,

    Desi

  3. Did you have the reflux before the band and if so were you or are you on meds for it. I take Nexium and I have it now and my doctor told me that a bypass would correct it but thats not what I wanted.

I had the WORST case of reflux it was awful :)

It was still bad after the band and totally only cleared up the last few weeks since i've been drinking Shakeology :)

I would love to meet YOU! I have a support group meet up every month and the next one is April 3r in Moreno Valley. Interested?

  4. Hi Desiree!

I live pretty close to you!! I'm here in Perris...it would be great to meet other lap banders...I haven't officially gotten 'banded' yet, but I'm taking the required classes in order to get it.

I see you've had yours for a couple of years now...how has it been? What advice do you have for pre-op patients? What are the pros and cons of having a LAP-BAND®?

    ttys!

    :cursing:

Hi :) You're very close! Yes my Banniversary was the 12th and the weightloss as been phenominal! The only ick factor I found was late night reflux, but i got that handled now. That and loose skin sux

Feel free to contact me anytime... I haven't been able to meet up with Bandsters out this way and the support really helps.

  5. OMG I've seen these infomercials and they scared the bejeeeezus out of me LOL! Please post a review next week--would love to know how intense it is!

I am breaking down and buying the Ab Coaster. I am getting a ton of cardio in, but my belly is just ridiculous and the only thing right now keeping me from moving down to the next size.....

I was thinking of trying hip hop abs too. It sounds like you recommend it LOL! Wow, 4 inches!!!!

Good luck as you embark into Insanity ;-)!

Hip Hop Abs is So much fun :frown: It's like dancing in the club, but the results are lost inches and a strong core :frown:

  6. I was banded Jan. 12 and had my first fill on Feb. 26 . . . so far, so good, but just before getting a fill, at night, I cannot stay away from Peanut Butter (and I don't mean a tsp or two). It's a terrible craving. . . anybody else have this weird thing going on, or with some other type of food? Can't understand . . . maybe I'm not getting enough Protein with my meals???

Good LORD me too!!!:) I started drinking Bariwise's Tropical banana Protein and I mix it with a generic vanilla whey protein (total 30 grams of protein) I usually mix it with non fat milk, but today I mixed it with Almond vanilla milk--YUMMY!:)

Add a few ice cubes and a Tablespoon of Peanut Butter and OMG... it reminds me of Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream :sneaky:

  7. They say green tea is supposed to aid in weightloss by helping the metabolism... i drink it.

And there are green teas that are without caffeine.

My favorite is Jasmine Green Tea by Foo Joy!!

It does NOT need sweetener and is delicious!!!

I brew it up and keep it in the fridge and drink all day :smile2:

  8. GOOD LUCK!!

I SOOOO wish I had the motivation to do exercises at my home by myself --

    I joined a Taekwondo/Karate school that does a Warrior X-Fit class 3 times a week --- and I LOVE that!!

Thanks :smile2: it absolutely takes dedication, but I wanna feel good when my clothes are off LOL I know TMI, but I know these next 60 days of Insanity are gonna take me there :)

  9. OMG I saw the informercial on that and wanted to get it!!! You will have to keep us posted on how you are doing!

I got one of their original products P90 (not P90X) and I always seem to lose weight when I do that several times a week.

I'll definately keep you posted and I'll have pictures on my blog. From the Insanity Kit two main ingredients to sucess are Rest and Recovery Formula and Shakeology. Ive been taking Shakeology and it's awsome, I have energy as if I've had some starbux lol! xtra shots of espresso :smile2:

  10. I am sick of Protein shakes. It is hard getting 70 grams of Proteins. What about those Protein Shots. Do they taste bad? Any other suggestions.

they're not totally bad, but it's only like a shot too:smile2:

also try the Soups, and Entrees etc from Bariatric Choice... I use they're product, and I have a Shakeology shake every day...

Remember your Protein from other foods too like greek yogurt... lean meats and fish and my favorite is salmon yum!

  11. I drink the Atkins Protein shakes in the morning. It's just such an easy Breakfast before school and work. But recently, after I drink one, I have diarrhea. I mean like cold sweats and everything. I didn't drink one for about 3 days. I tried again this morning. Same thing. What in the world could be causing this?

Ewwww Protien diarrhea is the worst! I was drinking Atkins shakes in the morning cos it's quick on the drive to work, but I always got several miles from my office and I was crampin up:eek: so I totally understand. But lately I've been having a chocolate Shakeology shake and no tummy problems! No tummy problems means a happy Desi! LOL! Plus I have such a boost of energy! Red Bull and Starbucks has nothing on Shakeology! LOL!
