    Are there any guys here?

Hey everyone, brand new here. Don't have much advice seeing as I was banded only yesterday. So far, so good.

    Outrageous Octobers

Not sure if you're asking me or not, but I'll go ahead and answer. I'm still having gas pains but they aren't anything major. The worst was waking up from surgery and have the shoulder pains. If you've ever thrown out your shoulder, or pulled a muscle there, it feels like the same thing. It's annoying more than anything. But when it does happen for you, walking around and forcing yourself to burp helps a lot. I've also found that lying on my left side tucked into the back of the couch takes the pain almost completely away. Remember to try that. It's my second day out, and everything feels much better than yesterday.

will I loose my current friends?

At the same, you have to wonder if your overweight friends are wondering if they are going to lose YOU as a friend as you continue to slim down. Your friend is probably thinking that you are going to a have a new life ahead of you that won't include her. You can't blame her for acting a little "off." Just keep doing the same things you guys have always been doing, minus the eating.

    Outrageous Octobers

I'm only one day out from being banded, but I've found that making myself burp over and over and over helps a lot with the pressure in the chest feeling. Being a week out, I'm sure you've tried that though...

    Outrageous Octobers

Hey everyone I was banded yesterday and recovery is going pretty well. Just taking everything slow for now and am spending a few days at my parents house. I'm gonna head back to work Monday and see how that goes. The most annoying part of course is the shoulder pain, but I can get rid of that when needed. I look forward to where we're all at towards the end of the month.

In need of some "guy" advice

I know I'm young at 24, but thought I could throw something out there. As said earlier, us guys love it when girls are blunt. And now that you guys are talking more, I think you should just ask him if he wants to do something after work. If you leave the option open for during work hours, he probably just sees it as lunch with a coworker. And let's be honest, that's a HUGE difference. When a coworker asks me to lunch (granted it's always just guys) I usually respond with something like "Not a good day, sorry." Especially if I'm legit busy that day. He could be interested, he could not be. So you might as well find out for sure. And even if he says no, you don't work with him anyways, so it's not like you'll see him everyday. Good luck
