Walk, Walk, WALK!!!! It really helps with the gas. Be careful though b/c I felt like I had a stabbing pain in my chest & back & had pneumonia right after sugery. Good luck & call your doc for everything. It'w what they get paid for.

I think its the change in diet. The same happened to me once I started eating. Once I started excercising (light aerobics like the wii) I lost it immediately. I also started being constipated and Colace & Myralax were recommeded to me & safe to take daily. Good Luck!!!

I know all the do's & don't the Dr tells you but I want some of you to share ur experiences on getting stuck, slipped bands & drinking sodas. What happened to cause it, how did it feel, how was it resolved? Thanks in advance! Curious????
  4. You have neve lied! I'm 2 weeks post op & want EVERYTHING!!! It's a struggle watching my family eat certain things I can't have. It restricts how much I can eat but definitely doesn't deter my desires for certain foods.

I'm a lil over 2 weeks post op & lost 21lbs too & stopped. I exercise daily but I know it will take some time & I'll probably need some adjustments to continue. Be patient with yourself. 21lbs in 2 weeks in a lot. Are you on purees & have you had problems with any foods so far?

I know thats right mama! My husband has been dying to get his hands on me. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op & still scared. I hear it gets even better!

Congrats! I'm 11 days post-op & 30lbs down from where I started back in Feb. of this year. Yay us!!!! I am still a lil sore too. I didn't have a hernia but I did catch pneumonia... The worst!!! I just started walking & physical activity. It gets better. 1 more week before I return to work but I'm not looking forward to it. I almost died on liquids I was so bored. Sugar free popsicles were the highlight of my day! I'm now on pureed foods & I love it! EXCEPT constantly cleaning the blender (lol). Good luck & keep up the good work!

I told EVERYONE that would listen that I was getting banded. My co-workers had so many questions but then they got tired of hearing about it. I even have everyone trying to eat healthier too. Ppl comment b/c they want the same results & those that are negative are too ignorant to become knowledgeable or understand how the band really works. Easy way out is the LAST thing this is. I'm happy for you & you should be too! Tell the world!
  11. Conratulations honey! You are so right! I am 11 days post-op just started puree foods. The sight is horrible but if felt good to eat something other than broth, popsicles etc. Crockpot is great! Makes all meats easy to mush up & digest. I questioned myself as to whether I made the right decision getting the Band but when I stepped on the scale & realized I was 20lbs down already...there was no doubt in my mind. Keep up the good work.
  12. My doc said no carbonation too! I love Pepsi and giving them up was the hardest thing I've had to do! Please don't try that again! Glad your ok.

You are so right! I did and they wanted to treat it as if it were gas and if I got no relief from Gas X we'd go to the next step but I've been fine. Thanks!

5 days post op & I keep having these unusual sharp pains in my chest every since surgery. I know I had pneumonia & Ive been on antibiotics for about 4 days now. I have no problem swallowing and the sharp pains come at various times. Any ideas what this may be? Uncomfortable:confused:
  15. Guess I better get back to taking my Vitamin D cause I was deficient before surgery.
