  2. Find a way to work out at home. Resistance bands and a walking or dance video is always fun. If you are having pains call your doctor and let him/her know.

  4. Great now I've gotten a call from one of the Doc's office saying that they have purged their records from 2006 and I am no longer able to get them GREAT!!!
  5. I’m trying to get my packet together. Central Carolina Surgery (not my insurance company) wants a recorded of my weight for the last 5 years. The problem is I have moved from 3 different cities in the last 5 years and in that time I’ve seen about 5 different doctors. Everyone wants to charge me $10.00-$12.00 for my records and wants me to come pick them up in person. I don’t mind doing it but I’m getting a little frustrated. They also want a letter of necessity from my doctor. Not sure how to go about getting that what if my doc does not approve? Some encouraging words please!!!!
  6. Hang In there (smile)..... thats all I can say since I'm not banded just yet.!!!

  9. Hey, I've been using this site as one of my research tools. I'm loving all the info. I plan on getting banded 1/1/2011 (or sometime around the 1st of the year). Going to seminar on 10/12. Good luck!!!
  10. Okay after researching and becoming a member of LapBand Talk yay... I've decided to get banded. I don’t plan on doing it until January since I'm using my flex spending account to pay for the out of pocket expenses. My insurance covers 80%. I have signed up for a seminar...and made a apt with my doc to get the pre-determination that my insurance company is requesting. Is there anything else I should prepare for?
  11. If you are in the Greensboro NC area, where did you get banded? How much did you pay out of pocket? What was you experience and how was your doctor?
  12. Hi, I have been thinking about getting banded for about 3 years now. I dont really look it, but I'm 271lbs 5'7. I'm 28 years old and I have some questions for people who have already gotten banded. 1. Is loose skin unaviodable. If so is it different for everybody? 2. I have united Health Care they will pay 80%. Is there an estimate of out-of-pocket expenses I can gt from anyone? I'm using my flex spending account to pay for it so I need to know how much to put in it. 3. As you loose weight can you see your access port? 4. How long did it take you to reach your goal weight? 5. Does anyone regret it and why? Thanks for all you help.
