Hey sweetie...1st of all you are not weak. You can get protien in other ways like protien drinks. I drink Atkins Cafe Caramel (love it ) 15 grams of protien. Other foods that are packed with Protien and low in Carbs are peanuts and Tune. Please keep me posted you are not alone thats what this group is for

    Welll... Yeah....

Don't feel judged.....only God can judge you. I'm also a full time working mother, but I've had to make time to take care of myself and so do you. (Although most band rules are universal) Not all surgeons have the same rules and regulations. Yours may be more agrressive with your food progression. Check with him/her first before you take what anyone has said to heart. And if you descover you messed up. make sure your get a clear understanding on what you should be doing. Good Luck.
  20. If you haven't had a fill yet then your are probally able to eat a lot anyway. During my TOM I crave more sweets and they go down eaiser (bad habbit I know). So if your like me you are probally eating slider foods....BTW a fill wont help with slider foods, they will still slide even after your start getting fills so try toget a handle on the period snacking early. I limit myslef to 2 "small" treats a day.
  21. I dont mind answering..... 1) How Long ? I've been banded a little over a year and I would have to say that it's still not normal. I have to be very careful to chew, eat small bites and slow down. This will always be in the font of my mind. I don think that should or would change. 2) Anything to Quicken Your Adjustment Period for normalcy? Nope...Everyone has to learn on their own and in their own time. 3) Anything you wish you would have done differently? I wish I would have stayed away from negative posts on this site...its just pointless to compare yourself with another banders success.
  22. Amanda1982

    Welll... Yeah....

Really look at yourself and determine when and why your are eating around the band. Are you sleepy and sweets late at night help you stay up? If so,then "GO TO BED" . Are you really hungry? If so, eat foods that are filling and packed with protein. Tuna is a great one. What you don't want to do is get in a funk. Don't beat yourself up. "Keep it moving" you have to determine what your bad habbits are and the reason for them before you can break them. The band wont help us with the mental changes that we have to make, neither will your doc holding your fills hostage lol. . Good Luck!
  23. 2 lbs away from "Onederland" so excited

    Question For The Ladies

You will be fine, mine snuck up on me too right before surgery and my doc said no problem. And tampons when you get home are ok. Good Luck.

    Not Doing Good

You know, its so easy for us to get caught up in everything that going on in our lives and we forget to take care of ourselves (I know I have). Now that your husband is better it's time for you to take care of you. Just like everyone has said, get back to the basics. Don't be afraid to start over because "you can do all things". Good Luck to you!!!!
