    Exercise after Band

Don't worry. Just go at your own pace. I see people that are able to run, and I can't do that, but my exercise works for me so it doesn't really matter I think. Have you tried aqua aerobics?
  2. An old hairy dude checked me out at the pool today...Uhhh...Not a good thing, but a bit fun regardless.
  3. I had to do that too. Try eating a cup of food in 20 minutes. It should be like baby food consistancy as someone already mentioned.
  4. Awesome! That is quite a lot of weight! I hope you're eating plenty of Protein to keep your muscle strength up. What liquids were you on?
  5. Ahhh, I see. Wow. It'd be handy to have an iPhone app.
  6. 3 Meal Replacement version of Optifast. My cousin's friend lost something like 40 kilos on it too...He's now really sensible with eating :huh2: His doctor made him go on it. Sometimes I have it too because it has a lost of nutrients in it. - It tastes like crap though
  7. Where abouts do you log your stuff, if you don't mind me asking :huh2: I use fitday at the moment.
  8. If you've had a fill at surgery, maybe ask him to take some out :-) If not, maybe ask him to not put any in. Just talk to him, it should be fine.

    port abscess anyone?

I've felt discouraged so many times <3 It's gone away for me. I think depression and dissapointment is sometimes inevitable when you can't eat as much as you used to. Cheer up and have a think about it. In the end you might just need some antibiotics <3
  10. Ahaha, yeah. :huh2: It was a medical term that was picked up by stupid gossip magazines to intrigue people and let them hear what they wanna hear. They didn't get it right though and I'm so surprised that 'medical professionals' are even still telling people that. Same goes with 'grazing'...People use that as a stupid excuse to snack all day because they think it's going to help them lose weight. All that advice has done is made us into boredom eaters. Fact of the matter is; Your body needs nutrients to run, if it's not getting enough calories for energy, it takes it from your current fat instead. That is how you lose weight. Without nutrients your body fails and it takes it from other places like your organs. THAT is starvation mode. Starving and starvation mode are two different things lol. They think that you need to eat more calories, but you actually need to eat more reguarly with more nutrients...The calorie part doesn't matter. Cheers, WrenBird
  11. I agree! and I use fitday too! lol. My weight was starting to slow down a bit too, so I changed it to swimming a little more - I just have to wait for the Water to warm up a bit. Aqua Aerobics today! Woohoo!
  12. Your body doesn't go into starvation mode unless you don't eat enough nutrients so it takes the nutrients from your organs and slows down your metabolism. What's happening is you're most likely STARVING. They're two different things. Starving is when you don't eat reguarly enough so your body adjusts to not eating reguarly and slowing down your metabolism. You need to eat more reguarly, not more calories. At first you may put on weight, but not very much if you keep it under 1200 calories. I have no idea why your doctors are telling you that...That kind of mentallity is the crap you read in gossip magazines LOL. One of the most successful diets in Australia they often perscribe to extremely obese patients is under 500 calories a day, but because it contains plenty of nutrients, you don't go into starvation mode.

    Cheeseburgers

When I want things like that I think of how sad, sick and guilty I feel afterwards. It's quite often I crave angry angus burgers from hungry jacks. It's funny because I just really like the sauce they put on them lol...Mustardy mmmm...and like how it goes with the tomatoes.

    Strange question

The pain didn't bother me. It was more the strange feeling I got in my tummy and throat when I laid down. You can fix that with more pillow though :-) It's annoying at first but when the sweling goes down after a few days, it's all good :-) Goodluck to you!

    Feeling Unwelcome Here

It's quite possible that a moderatoe changed her name so she could start again? I dunno...Just guessing :huh2: That is really bizaare.
  16. Awesome! The towel thing will probably never work for me...At one stage I got so sick of my towel not fitting around me that I went and bought a jumbo one to make myself feel better... :huh2:
  17. That's amazing :-) You're amazing, Melissa!
  18. They actually haven't had the band yet.

    Vitamins...

I just had the most delicious liquid Vitamin I've ever had. Chery flavoured, sugar free and tastes like a dreammm. I can't wait till tomorrow so I can have another spoonful :-) Edit: It's called Accomin and although the bottle looks very unfun, it is delicioussssss!
  20. Ooo yeah, that is a bit little. I'm thinking I might cut it up and put it in a salad though or on some mountain bread with lettuce. I'll have to wait a bit though :blushing:, my band is a bit tight at the moment.
  21. Hi, This recipe is by Tammy Yerke. All credits go to her :smile2: Ingredients 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts 1 onion, chopped salt and pepper to taste 60 ml honey 60 ml ketchup 55 g brown sugar 15 ml soy sauce Directions Rinse chicken and pat dry. In a shallow glass bowl combine the onion, salt, pepper, honey, ketchup, sugar and soy sauce. Mix all together. Add chicken, stir to coat. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Lightly oil grill and preheat to high. Remove chicken from marinade and grill over high heat for 15 minutes each side or until juices run clear. Amount Per Serving Calories: 166 | Total Fat: 0.6g | Cholesterol: 27mg Yummy with a yogurt salad maybe? Mmmm :blushing: Reference: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Tys-Barbequed-Chicken/Detail.aspx There's 6 images of the chicken there too if you wanna have a look at the yummy goodness.
  22. Wholegrain mustard's my favourite :-) I like the homebrand one, but I recently bought one that looks like it has mayo in it. It tastes realllly good but I don't think it's particuarly healthy. I put it on my salads instead of dressing. I also like the hot English one, I like to put a bit of that on a ham sanwich. I can't eat ham or sanwiches at the moment though, so I'm sticking with the tasty kind. I wanna try that yellow mild kind that they put on New York hotdogs. I wonder if I could buy it online. :blushing: Edit: Sorry for highjacking your thread.
  23. No no <3 You didn't offend me hehe. It was someone else who has posted here and in another thread, but I don't think they meant to. But yeah, I know what you mean...People read that I eat celery and lettuce and freak out...It's better than eating full fat custard though, which is the only other stuff I have in my fridge that I could probably eat at the moment. :blushing:
