  1. Who have you told about the LapBand? I personally am not telling many about my surgery. Out of my family only my parents and one of my aunts know and I also have one friend that I have told about it. People have so many different opinions of it and of course there's always the "It's the easy way out" (which is not the case at all) and the "Why can't you just do it the normal way?" which are really my reasons in not telling others.. Changing life-long habits is hard and the last thing I want to deal with is people criticizing and questioning me, so they just won't know.. Which leads to my next question.. What do you tell people when they ask you about how you lost the weight? Obviously there's always the diet and exercise, but do people really believe it? I'm in college and will be having the surgery over out Christmas break, in which I won't see any of my friends for a month so I'm guessing they will probably notice, and I know my family will notice since I don't come home from school that often.. I guess in the end it doesn't really matter what you tell people and if they believe you or not, I was just wondering what yall tell people

    :)

  4. Hi...I was wondering if anyone has had any pain where the port is? I was banded on the 19th of Oct and was doing great till last night. I think I might have slept wrong. Above the port is a burning type pain only when I bend down. It feels like when I first had the band done.

  5. Hi...I was banded on the 19th of Oct. I have my first fill on the 3rd of Dec. I too have stalled on weight lose. I lost 22 lbs but have come to a stop. I was wondering if you have had any problems with the port site? I think I slept wrong and it has irritated the port. I have a burning type pain. I feels like it did when I first has the band done. Good luck on your journey.
