Date...help With Dinner Decision??
I am sure this is not common, but I had a fill that was too tight after about a year in and after time it moved the band into an horizontal position. The doctor had to remove almost all the fluid for 2 months and after that it shifted back up where it should be. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery, it was the best thing I've ever done for myself:)

I Keep Gurggling And Burning Hiccups Too The Grggling Is Non Stop
I could drink and eat a little so I waited till Monday and then got right in to my doctor. My symptoms were girgling in my throat, severe heartburn, back pain, and vomitting. If you can't keep fluids down, I would go to the ER.

I would consider going to the ER. I had a similiar situation and my band had shifted to a horizontal position. If I had waited much longer my doctor said I may of had to have surgery to reposition it. I didn't have to do that but I did have to have half the fluid taken out and my hunger is back, ugh!

I Got Unfilled Today...
I have a similiar story. My band had shifted down so they took half my fluid out. Ugh, right before Christmas! I went back last week and they gave me half of what they took out before. I haven't noticed a big difference and am mad at myself for being greedy in the first place and getting a fill when it wasn't absolutely necessary. I guess it's a learning process so hang in there Suzahhn.

Date...help With Dinner Decision??
I have been banded for over a year. My band "shifted" so I do not have the tightness I once enjoyed. (this is only for a few months) Anyway, obviously I am more hungry than usual. Anyone have any advice on eating bread (good stuff) or pasta? My doctor wants me to ban it but I really need more filling food right now.

"sweet spot", how many cc's to reach yours?
I am so glad you posted. I am having the same difficulty! My doctors nurse told me to just go hungry and if I could do that why would I have needed the surgery. I am at 7.2 cc in a 10 cc band and have very little restriction. I can eat anything and the nutritionist said I should be having trouble with bread and carbonation. Not me! I hope someone writes in, and gives us some hope that it is a matter of time and soon we will not be hungry so often!

When did you see a difference?
Thanks, Noturningback10. I saw a podiatrist yesterday and he gave me some nice insoles. He also told me to ice (bowl of ice water) my heel twice a day and wear a splint at night. I feel better today already;)

Mini-victory Today
That's great Oceanspirit. I too get easily depressed when I'm losing only a pound a week or stall for a couple weeks. That is great about the inches that you are losing and I am encouraged that it's not all about the scale but about the inches too! Way to go!

When did you see a difference?
Does anyone have planter faciatis? I have this condition and it makes it hard to exercise, any ideas? I was banded 9/23/10 and have lost 20 but now I'm at a standstill so I know I need more exercise.

Does your brain ever catch up with your body?
Ya know, I have friends that weigh 120 pounds and still would worry about their arms!!! I don't know if it is a women thing or if Michele Obama screwed us? just kidding! I too am hoping I become more confident in myself. I was banded 9/23/10 and am the same height as you and just a year older. I lost very well in the beginning but have slowed to snail pace right now....my first fill is this Wednesday. I think this forum may help you become more assured that your thoughts are normal and you will get that confidence back you had at your "fighting" weight. It is a journey that's for sure. Hang in there! BTW I'm going as "GHOULS GONE WILD" tonight, censored sign included of course;)

Weight Loss Ticker!
- Eyes bigger than stomach....
Wow, Tallgirl, I was feeling the exact same way today. I am at my 5th week of banding and haven't had my first fill yet. I am so used to starting a diet, losing some weight, and then putting it right back on! I can't believe I went through the fasting and surgery and am overeating again!!!! I like the protein suggestion because I am very hungry again. I also know that I need to slow down while I'm eating and chew my food more. It will take some time to retrain myself to eat to nourish my body not to numb it. :blush:I have lost 15 pounds but have not lost anything in the last 2 weeks, I can't wait for my first fill in November. - Eyes bigger than stomach....
