  1. its great that you shared your news - the more people know it the more support you have. You are going to do it anyway so what can they do about it?

they told me that the main reason I had to have liquid diet was because they needed my liver to shrink before the surgery for it not to be in their way when they operate on me.

I guess they didn't want me to have BMs on the day of the surgery either.

Hey - if you have any questions - write...

  2. It took my insurance for-ever to tell me that they need one more medical paper from one of the doctors. When they finally got it it took them two days.

It is funny you mention signs and stuff. I did too. First time I said if they deny me that would be a sign that I shouldn't have started it all in the first place.

When they told me that they can't approve me because I was missing one of the doctors approval I said - well, I did so much to get it already - why not go all the way.

And I did. I lost 30lbs in 4 weeks. This is my 5th week and I am about to have my first fill.

I am sure the weight loss will stop being so rapid and I am supposed to loose only 2-3 lbs a week but hey - the more the better for me. I just have to make sure I eat Protein and drink multivitamis.

    Good Luck.

If I had to go it again - I wouldn't stop at anything.

    I have BCBS of IL

  3. you know don't worry. A day before the surgery they told me that my AKG was not right. I was panicking. They scheduled appointment the same day with a doctor and he approved me. I had my surgery the very next day. I did have to wait 6 hours since my doctor had an emergency surgery before me, but it was worth the wait. Now 4 weeks later I am 30lbs lighter.
