  1. @@Fatty McFatster, dear friend, the $1,000 would be a nice measure of success and a lovely gift for F2P, but what matters most is that everything will straighten out. You'll ace the next challenge.

I was actually incorrect about the Biggest Loser prize money (hey, I was drugged up...lol...so it wasn't 1,000 dollars), but my wife won 1st place for % weight loss and tied for 1st place for inches lost. Yay!!! So proud of @@Fat2Phat2016

  2. Quick (now!!) funny story- years ago I'm sitting and notice a couple of droplets on my foot which was bare. Then I felt another droplet hit said foot. Thinking I spilled something, I'm checking around. Nothing. Now I look at the top of my foot and it's wet. Thinking I'm crazy, I try and ignore it. Fast forward the next day- same thing. Except there was a line of Water going down the front of my lower leg. Huh?? Started about midway up. I just stare at it until I noticed the liquid coming from my skin!! I had literally sprung a leak!!!![emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. ( I laugh now). I was so bloated from all my meds that I sprung a flipping leak. Went to dr immediately. He gave me a diuretic and it stopped bit darned if I wasn't completely freaked by it.

Oh my!! That would have freaked me out. Glad you were/are ok!!

  3. Hey sweetie. So sorry I haven't posted before now. I am so sorry you're going through this. Especially after all the work you've put in to be the healthiest you possible. It seems like we've been dealt a bad hand as of late, but we have each other to help get through anything life throws our way!!

I pray that you are on the up swing of this thing but I know that it will still take a while for you to be 100% after all your body has been through. I love and support you no matter what!

I am glad that the Water pill is helping. I am also glad nothing was wrong with your heart. I can't even imagine a day without you. So let's get you fixed up and back out walking asap!

    Love you!!!

Thank you. I know I couldn't get through any of this without you. You are my rock.

I know you're going through a lot as well and I'm here for you always.

  4. sounds like acute renal failure after the stent placement. Can happen. Your kidneys way of saying wtf is this stent and why is it here.... and shut down for a bit. Glad the diuretics are kicking them in.

I think you are 100% correct. I now believe my kidneys stopped working at some point between the large kidney stone being on the move, kidney stone surgery, and stent placement and they didn't start working again until the diuretic.

  5. I've lost 2 more pounds of Water weight. It's definitely slowed down, but happy to see it still coming off.

Unfortunately, I feel like death today. Everything hurts (i.e. Head, legs, stomach, kidney, ankles, etc). I'm also really nauseous and lightheaded. I'm guessing my body is just tired from all it's been through over the last week.

Think I'm just going to rest today and catch up on sleep.

Thanks as always to all of you for looking after me.

  6. I'm now up to 20 pounds of Water weight lost in 24 hours. Yay!!!

This diuretic has been a miracle!!!

Now just 10 more to go.

This is great news. How is the swelling in your feet and legs?

I have lymphedema and Fluid retention is no joke.

Yesterday they felt like they were going to explode and today they are almost back to normal.

  7. Please call your urologist again or go to the

ER? Like right now. The swelling and shortness of breath are extremely concerning. These are both symptoms of renal failure. With the kidney stones and blood you need to be seen again. Please!

The cardiologist prescribed me a diuretic so I'm going to give it a couple days to see if it helps.

  8. Isn't your cardiologist conferring with the urologist who referred you? Your PCP ought to be involved. S/he coordinates your care between specialist so you are trying to make sense of all these body systems and what could be going on.

Not that being at the WLS surgeon is t a good idea. It is....I wonder if you're having an intolerance to pain meds?

I think if it were me, I'd be at the ER pretty soon if someone doesn't figure this out.

Please let us know what the WLS says.

Sorry you aren't getting the answers you need. Your bariatric surgeon should squeeze you in. If he/she doesn't have the answers you might need the ER. That much swelling is ridiculous!

I'm in agreement - you should probably go into the ER. What you are experiencing is NOT NORMAL they need to find out what is going on ASAP. 30lbs in a week could be dangerous.

I agree with going to the ER emergently. Didn't all this start when you went in for your kidney stones? All that edema sounds like kidney function.

Hi everyone. I'm sorry I can't reply to you all individually. I'm so very tired and overwhelmed. But I want to say I appreciate all of you that have shown compassion and concern for me. I'm forever grateful.

This has been one of the worst weeks of my life. 10 days ago (last Monday) I went in to my gastric sleeve surgeon for my 4-month check up. Everything was great!!! I had lost 90 pounds in 4 months. I went from walking 50 feet to walking up to 15 miles a day. My cholesterol and other blood tests were in great shape, etc.

Then just 1 week ago I was rushed to ER via ambulance and then rushed into kidney stone surgery and a stent put in. They even made me stay the night in the hospital.

And now 1 week later, I feel like I never had surgery 4 months ago. Official tally is that I'm UP 30 pounds in 7 days!!!!! I can't walk 5 feet without joint/ankle pain from the swelling/edema, etc. I can't walk without being winded and short of breath. My clothes are even tighter.

I just can't believe no one can find anything wrong with me.

I'm just tired…and disappointed … and feeling defeated. Maybe tomorrow I'll wake up 30 pounds lighter. I can hope and pray I guess.

Thanks for listening. It has meant the world to have you all on my side.

    I'm going to sleep now.

  9. I don't think any of these are addictions or obsessions, but just activities that please and entertain me:

    Hanging with my hubby

    Cruising

    Travel

    Socializing with friends

    Clothes and "primping"

    Writing

Becoming a domestic goddess (this is a helluva lot easier to do 100 pounds lighter)

My Fitness Pal (weird, but true -- I love understanding which foods are nutritious)

We love to cruise and travel as well!!!

  10. So glad you got this checked out. What's really not normal is continuing to gain weight after coming home.

I'm hoping for some good news and relief for you tomorrow.

    @@Fatty McFatster

I hope everything is okay! I'm a little concerned for you. That weight gain is very odd. How are you feeling? Do you feel unwell or okay?

    Yes, please keep us posted!

    Good luck today.

Thank you all. I appreciate it. My appointment is in a little over 1 hour.

I know this sounds bad, but I hope they find something. I just want to know what's wrong. Gaining 23 pounds in 7 days just makes no sense to me. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it.

So, I really hope the cardiologist can find out what's wrong. If he doesn't find anything then I'm not sure what to do next. I just know something isn't right.

And as of last night, it now hurts to walk at all (which is also difficult for me to understand because 1 week ago I was walking 10-15 miles a day). Now it hurts just to stand up and walk to another room.

  11. we will all be looking for an update tomorrow after you see that doctor.

I'm glad you got checked out and I'm sorry for all the medical woes you have been having. Let us know how it goes after your cardiology appt.

I hope you are feeling better soon, and that at least you start to get some relief. I had a catheter when I had a hysterectomy for 3 days at home and it wasn't much fun. But if it does the trick it should provide some relief. Hope you get good news tomorrow!

Oh wow! That is scary! I hope everything is ok. Do you have any trouble breathing when you are laying flat? Did they have you doing the spirometer or whatever it is called when you were in the hospital?

So sorry you are going thru this. I really hope things get better soon. Please keep us updated.

Please keep us posted. Hope all goes well with the cardiologist.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your care and concern. It means so much!!!

I'll update this thread after my cardiology appointment tomorrow.

  12. Wow! Have you heard from the Doc yet?

Just got back from the Urologist and they addressed most of my concerns (i.e. pain, difficulty urinating, etc) except for the rapid weight gain. They said there is no way I gained all of that weight from kidney stone surgery or by having a stent.

They are concerned I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia which is causing Fluid buildup around my heart. So they set me up for an appointment to see a cardiologist tomorrow morning.

I also have to start self-cathetering 3x a day. Yay! Fun, fun! LOL.
