  1. Ever notice that when things are going great in your life that some is always waiting in the wings to tear you down? Today it wasn't so much about weight loss as just saying they don't even know why I exist . That is a hard one to take especially from someone I don't know. I try so hard not to be a mean person and treat people with respect. I am not perfect and make lots of mistakes. But it doesn't mean I am not human and get hurt

Try to stay positive. You are doing great!!! I REALLY enjoyed our hike yesterday!!!

  2. Heck yeah!! 40 lbs in 2 months isn't much to show?? That is fantastic!! Good job!! :)

Thanks so much! I appreciate it.

I got to be honest you look great and I would have thought you lost more,. I'm 8 weeks post op and down 53 lbs and don't look as good but I'm only 5'7", how tall are you if you don't mind my asking?

Thank you! And yeah, I thought I would have lost more also. I am 5'11".

    • Date of Before picture at 356 on Oct 24, 2015
    • Started pre-op on Nov 6, 2015 at 356.
    • Surgery 2 weeks later on Nov 20th at 337.8 (loss of 18.2 pre-op)
    • Date of After picture was Dec 25th at 317.2 (1 month post-op with total loss of 38.8)
    • I am now almost 2 months post-op and down 50 pounds

  3. Sorry to hear you have low energy my friend. My energy dips as the day goes on, but I try to exercise every day and that sometimes actually helps with my energy. I think you need to find a way to increase calories. Maybe take in another Protein shake each day.

Personally, I've noticed that the fewer calories I have in a day the less energy I have and the less weight I lose because my body thinks it's starving. I'm currently in a 1 1/2 - 2 week stall even though I walked almost 45 miles last week, but I was also skipping meals last week and ended up with maybe a .5 pound loss this week (if I'm lucky)

Hope your energy level picks up soon.

  4. 50 pounds down in 2 months and 14 in month 2 is great! I only hope and pray I do as well. Picking up the exercise this 2nd month is wonderful as well Keep going strong and you will be doing that hike before you know it.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it.

And guess what??? We went for our 1st hike yesterday (4.5 miles) in 21 degree weather. It was beautiful and amazing!!!

  5. I don't have much to show yet (as I am only 2 months Post-Op), but wanted to share a Before and After picture so far.

Picture on the left is me at 356 on October 24, 2015 (1 month BEFORE surgery).

Picture on the right is me down 40 pounds at 316 on Christmas Day 2015 (1 month AFTER surgery).

Whatchu talkin about?? I see a huge improvement already! Great progress!! :)

Awww thank you!! I appreciate your kindness. I'm always hard on my self.
