    Surgery is tomorrow! 12/1

Glad everything went well. I was sleeved on 11/20 and am doing much better now. Pain was minimal, but nausea kicked my butt for a solid week. Good luck on your journey!!!

    Surgery tomorrow 12/3

Good luck tomorrow!!! I was sleeved on 11/20 and honestly pain wasn't that bad, but had constant nausea for over 1 week. You'll do fine.

    Week 2-3 Stall!?!

It is quite normal. I had surgery on 11/20 and have experienced it as well. We just had a major surgery and our body is in recovery mode. Just stick to the plan and you will start dropping weight soon.

Babbs' advise is excellent. If you make your Protein and Water goals, you will increase your calories as well. You are still stuck with liquids so getting the calories up is a challenge unless you are drinking Protein shakes or cream Soups. Also you are so soon after surgery and your body is in shock. They tend to pump you full of fluids while in the hospital so I bet you drop some weight fast in the coming days. All of that water weight. Thank you both so much. I appreciate the help and advice.

Thank you so much. You are always so helpful! My goals are 60g protein and 64oz liquids per day. I just looked at MyFitnessPal and I have met my protein goal all but 1 day. I'm not sure about my liquids, but am pretty sure I am low on those. I will try harder to reach my liquids goal this week and going forward.

I am 1.5 weeks post-op and lost 3.6 pounds (I think). It is a whole lot less than I thought, but staying patient. I also believe I am way too low on calories as I am hovering around 250-400 calories per day. Add walking into that and I am really getting no nourishment. How many calories should I be striving for each day? My surgeon never told me.

    Slow Weight Loss :/

I am glad I happened upon this thread because I was also feeling that my weight loss has been slow since surgery 1.5 weeks ago. I 100% believe I am WAY TOO LOW on calories as I am hovering around 250-400 calories a day. How many calories should I be striving for?

    Holiday Weight Loss Challenge!

Now at 334.2. You are ABSOLUTELY NOT a failure. You had a setback. We all have them. Now that you recognized the set back it is time to get back on it. You CAN do it!!!
  12. TV commercials are the enemy!!! Stay strong! I am proud of you!!
  13. Well the time has finally come and I will be headed to the hospital later today for my band to sleeve revision surgery. I suppose that I'm about as prepared as I can be, but would still appreciate your thoughts and prayers (as I am quite nervous). Thanks!!

Band to Sleeve Revision surgery TODAY!

I am doing pretty good. Still dealing with nausea and soreness. Congrats on the weight loss. Are you down 21lbs from the beginning of Pre-Op diet or from surgery date? I'm down 22 from Pre-Op, but only down 3.6 from surgery date.
  15. Thanks for the help. I'll probably give it another week and if they haven't stopped hurting then I'll make an appointment with my Orthopedic doctor. However, after looking at all of the side effects of my new meds it appears that my new antibiotics given to me after surgery can cause joint pain and tendon issues.
  16. I haven't increased my workouts since surgery a week ago. The only changes are: I had surgery, take in less fluids, take in less nutrients, take more meds (antibiotic, pain meds, anti nausea meds, blood clots shots, liquid ibuprofen, Multivitamin, and Calcium supplement). The pain only started 2 days ago and it is excruciating. I had no problem walking 2 miles before surgery, but can barely stand up from a seated position or walk stairs because the pain is so bad. I might think it was an injury if it was 1 knee, but it is both and just started 2 days ago.
  17. Same here. I'm only 1-week Post-Op and my wife is during her Pre-Op, so we both enjoyed some Cream of Chicken protein Soup for our Thanksgiving meal.
  18. Fatty McFatster

    HAPPY Thanksgiving everyone!

Thank you so much! Hope you both had a great day!!
  19. Hope you all have a very HAPPY Thanksgiving!!

Thank you!! I look forward to my Cream of Chicken protein soup later today.

Nauseous 24 hours a day. Is this normal?

Thanks so much for the information. I'm going to take your advice to see if I can get rid of this nausea.

Nauseous 24 hours a day. Is this normal?

I actually put Crystal Light in my Water and that makes it tolerable and then I drink either Premier Protein chocolate or unjury Chocolate Splendor. I can tolerate those, but they still make me nauseous. Plain water is an absolute NO NO for me as it tastes like sewage. My surgeon just called me from his home and told me it is normal, but is going to call me in another anti-nausea medicine and that I should be taking it every 4 hours around the clock for 1 -2 weeks after surgery.

Nauseous 24 hours a day. Is this normal?

Thanks for that advice. I am having a difficult time getting my liquids and protein in each day, so I will try harder to see if that helps. Thank you!

Nauseous 24 hours a day. Is this normal?

Thanks. I think I will go ahead and give my doc a call to see what he as to say (since he might not be in the office the next 2 days due to Thanksgiving). Anyone else experienced constant nausea after the sleeve surgery? Office already closed and won't be back until Monday.
