    3 mos 85lbs

    That is incrediable.
  6. For me.. I have to pay attention while I eat to get the "full signal" and stop. But if I keep eating then I will get pressure in my left arm and I will start slimming I think is what they call it. It's that feeling that your kinda warm and clamy but your mouth is watering like your going to be sick. Sometimes walking around helps the food move and get past the slimming feeling but it is not pleasant.
  7. Trouble - talk to your doctor about your concerns. Personally I have never had the band so I can't compare to what you are going through. It is a life decision. I don't regret my decision in the least but if the reflux is that much of an issue for you I would not hesitate to contact my doctor about it.
  8. Thanks for sending me a message Deb. I am doing very well. Honestly I have a large boost of energy lately so I am trying to use it which is the reason you don't see me posting on the site as much anymore. My new routine is I walk in the morning (because you burn more stored fat in the a.m) 2 blocks, I go to the gym after work and do 30 - 40 minutes of cardio, and 3 days a week I come home after that and walk another 2 blocks once it has cooled down. Thanks so much for the support Deb. I am giving this everything I have because I want it to work more then anything. I how everything is well with you as well. Keep pushing and keep your head up!

    Today Sucked!

I think that you are feeling a difference because of the higher carbs and it has been different. Don't be so hard on yourself just commit to getting back on track.

    Have 100+ lbs to loose?

I am right there with ya Texas... I have about 140 to 150 to lose.
  11. I felt that way also. It has been Wed will be 2 months and I have lost a little over 50 pounds. I think that we are just impatient and we have been wanting this so long that waiting and taking it slow is hard for us. I am in the same boat where I need to lose well over 100 pounds and I am just now starting to see the weight loss after 2 months and 50 pounds. I think once we see the difference it will make it worth it. We just have to hang in there until then.
  12. I had problems concentrating and emotional problems my first 3 weeks post op. But once that was over and I could get more fluids in it really helped. I think it had to do with dehydration. But I don't get the weak, irritable, and frustrated feeling I use to before the surgery. I don't really feel hunger the same way.

1 year out for me today

    Such an inspiration!! Congrats
  14. a week shy of 2 months post op. If it is solid protein I can get in just over 2 oz and nothing else. Sometimes 3 depending on the type of protein. Other then that - if it is less dense I can do 4 ozs.

    Weird complication...

I agree that checking with your doctor is a good idea. I am not diabetic but post op I did have problems with focusing until about 3 weeks out. I didn't notice the vision but maybe it is a side effect of the anesthic
  16. SO happy for you. Congrats!

    BM after the Sleeve

I agree that I seem to think it has something to do with eating less. But I have found a trick that works for me. On Saturdays I drink a cup and a half of coffee and it absolutely helps with the process. I am not sure why that is but my nutricianst seems to believe that coffee can ate as a stimulate.
  18. I know what you mean about relationship revolving around food. It was really hard for me the first 4 weeks post op but it does seem to be easier now. I think that I have changed where the volume of food I eat doesn't matter. I take my time cutting my protein talking and eating. The company and conversations are still great but I am just not shoveling food down my throat. But I won't down play it, you will have to change your mentality. It's no longer about food it really is about enjoying that 2 oz's of food, the flavors, and the company.
  19. Since you only see him 2 times a year my advise is just to say it and get it out there. He may ask questions for example "Why did you take such a drastic step". But it should all lead up to the discussion of your current issues. Since I work for PCP's I have found that most of them roll with the punches and alot of them are use to finding things out after the fact.
