  1. I feel ya. My band failed me and then shattered apart in my body. I was in serious pain. The sleeve has been amazing. I am a normal weight and I couldn't be happier. I wish you the best with everything!

    Ugh I Hate My Lap-Band!

I can totally relate. I was so happy to get the band out. I still get so angry at how they market the band so much when it has such a high failure rate. Congrats on your sleeve. You will LOVE it.

    Here's Where I Stand..

Congrats! It will all be worth it!
  4. Congrats! It will be here before you know it.

    The dreaded hair loss

I lost hair with my Lapland surgery, but not as much as I did with the VSG. I lost my hair until about a year out. It finally stopped on it's own and is now growing back. I think it is from such a drastic change in our food intake.

Time Of The Month During Your Surgery?

Mine started a couple of days after surgery. It was annoying, but not terrible.

    1 Day To Go!

Yay! Congrats. You are going to be amazed at how well the sleeve works. Sending hugs your way.
  8. The sleeve is totally different than the band. The band was just a big joke for me. It never really worked and I was still morbidly obese after 3 and a half years. The sleeve changed my life. It did take me 14 months to get to normal weight, but I got there. I am so happy. Personally, my food obsession has been drastically reduced from the surgery. Food doesn't run my life anymore. I do! You should try the sleeve and I do think you can be successful! The sleeve works.

    Nervous

It's normal to feel nervous. Don't stress too much! The sleeve is amazing and it will change your life in great ways. Good luck! You will do great.
  11. You look great! Congrats. I had a few slow months too. Then last month, I finally started losing again and got to a normal weight at 14 months out. Your body will let the weight go when it is ready. You have done amazing!

5 Days Post Op And Doing Well!

Congrats! Welcome to an amazing journey! The sleeve is awesome.
  13. I am a normal weight. It is nice to go to the doctor and no longer fear the scale.
  14. I never had issues with caffeine. I always make sure to get in my water, along with my morning cup of coffee each day. I drank lots of hot tea right after surgery with no problems. I only used the five hour energy when I felt weak from not eating for days. A small sip would give me a litttle boost. I didn't need it once I was eating normal foods. You may be fine without it. I personally struggled with feeling weak on the liquid stage. Totally worth it though! I love my sleeve!

    Coffee?

I drink coffee every single morning. Never had a problem.
  19. I was a slow loser. At first, it really bothered me. I just decided that it might take me awhile, but I wasn't going to give up. I finally got to a normal weight after 14 months. Don't put a timeline on yourself. What's the rush anyway as long as you get there? Hugs and hang in there.
  20. Congrats! The sleeve is going to change your life in many great ways!
  21. Congrats and welcome! I am so glad you are choosing the sleeve. It is awesome! Best wishes and just know we are always here for you.
  22. I have had lots of stalls. It's just part of the process. Your body just needs time to adjust. You aure probably losing inches, even if the scale isn't going down. Hang in there!
  23. Absolutely, positively get the sleeve! I had a horrible time with my band. It never really worked and then it broke apart in my body causing me miserable pain. The sleeve is amazing. It gives you restriction all the time. You can eat what you want, although my tastes have changed quite a bit. I am now a normal weight 14 months post op from the sleeve. I am so happy. You should give yourself a second chance!
