  1. Okay--I created a ticker at ticker factory, but I cannot figure out how to get it to the bottom of my posts. I'm sure it is something relatively simple and I am just an idot!:bananapartyhat: Also, another stupid question--What does NSV stand for? I am fairly new to the boards, so still learning! Thanks for the help! 258h/248s/227c/140g Banded Nov. 30, 2006 Dr. James Smith, Pueblo, CO

    I have a silly question

Oh wow-all of a sudden it worked! Yeah!!:clap2: I don't know what I did different--when I pasted it it still showed the address, not the ticker, so I saved it to show you, and all of a sudden it was there! Thank you for all your help though!

    What was that??

    What exactly is PBing?

    I have a silly question

Okay, I did everything you said-copied the whole code and pasted it and the same thing keeps happening--I give up! Like I said, the actual ticker will not come thru, just the address. And I tried going to choose2lose, but couldn't find the tickers there! I'm just having all sorts of problems today! Getting very frustrated!!:faint:

    I have a silly question

See, that's what happened when I pasted it! The actual ticker didn't copy!

    I have a silly question

Where exactly are you supposed to paste it? Maybe that's my problem.

    Searching and JAW PAIN

The only jaw pain I get is from so much chewing! I'm not used to having to chew so much and for so long! Could be some TMJ problems.

    I have a silly question

Okay--I am trying and it is still not working--I really must be an idiot! It gives you 3 different choices and i am not sure which one to use. I have tried highlighting the URL address and copying and pasting it to my signature, but all that comes up is the address, not the actual ticker! I don't know what I am doing wrong!:help:

    What was that??

I hear you! I am also experiencing jaw pain from chewing so much! I get really sore after eating something that has to be chewed a lot. I haven't tried a hamburger yet, but now I am scared to! By the way, I live in Pueblo, CO, but luckily we only got about an inch here, but I hear there is another one on the way! Do you live in Colorado or were you just visiting? 258h/248s/227c/140g Banded Nov. 30, 2006 Dr. James SMith Pueblo, CO

    Anyone here from Colorado?

I worry a little about having complications, but so far so good, although it has only been 4 weeks since surgery. I go for my first fill on January 17, so I am a little nervous about that--not sure if it will hurt or not, but anxious to get it done. By the way--were you totally burried by the blizzard last week? We only got about an inch here. I guess there is another storm coming tomorrow too--bummer! Hopefully it won't be as bad as the last one! Oh-one more thing--I went to ticker factory and created a ticker, but I can't figure out how to paste it to my posts--can you help? Or anyone else? Thanks:help: 258h/248s/227c/140g Banded Nov. 30, 2006 Dr. James Smith Pueblo, CO

    Colorado anyone??

Hey TrishS--Who did your surgery in Pueblo? I had mine with Dr. Smith and so far I really like him, but have not had my first fill yet. That will be on January 17, so I am curious to see what happens then. I would love to chat with you sometime! 258h/248s/231c/140g Banded Nov 30

    Chips or crackers??

I probably shouldn't share this, but I had some fat-free pringles while on the mushies stage--they kind of dissolve in your mouth. I was just craving something like that too, so I decided to try it, and I did fine with it. Like I said-they were the fat-free kind though--we are still dieting right?
  14. conniesueb

    Is my doc right

I was told at 8 days also that I could start on mushies, and even move on to real food if I wanted to try it. I am almost 4 weeks out right now and I am eating solid foods and not having any problems. Just experiment and see what happens--you will know if you have eaten something that you are not ready for. Good luck! 258h/248s/231c/140g banded Nov 30, 2006 Dr. James Smith-Pueblo, CO

Just out of couriosity--why did you need to have your port replaced? Is that the only problem you've had?

    Magic Bullet

I just got one for Christmas! So far have only made smoothies for the kids, but it worked great for that. I want to make some ham salad from the leftover ham from Christmas dinner though. What are some of your favorite things to make besides smoothies? 258h/248s/231/c/140g Banded Nov. 30, 2006 Pueblo, CO Dr. James Smith

    Pills

I take 8 different pills of various sizes and shapes and have not had much trouble. The first week, I was feeling a little indigestion afterward, and my doctor suggested taking them at night instead of in the morning, as the band is usually tighter in the morning. I started doing that, and have not had any more problems. Hope that helps! 258h/248s/231c/140g banded Nov. 30,06 Dr. James Smith, Pueblo, CO
  18. The more documentation the better for your insurance, but I just guessed at some of the dates, because who can remember that far back? I just listed approximate dates and what diets I had tried before, and my insurance did approve my surgery. Of course, I had to pay up front and am now waiting to be reimbursed, but still, they approved it.

    what about popcorn?

I am sitting here nibbling on popcorn as we speak, and I am only 2 1/2 weeks post op and having no problems. Is that crazy? My doc is not as strict about the stages as some, and told me it was okay to try foods if I wanted. I don't eat it whole, I nibble on it, but so far so good! Thank God--cuz I love popcorn! 258/234/140 Banded Nov. 30, 2006 Dr. James Smith, PuebloCO
  20. I completely sympathize with you, asI am in the same boat! I also have severe arthrits of the knees and ankles and even a little walking is extremely painful. I hope that as the weight comes off, I will be able to do more, but for now I am going back to Water aerobics, which I started a couple months before my surgery(Nov. 30). I am not sure if my incisions are healed enough yet, but I am anxious to get back. Also, Richard Simmons has an exercise video out that is done all from a chair, but is areally good aerobic workout. I ordered it from his website, and it is excellent for people who have limited mobility, or are in wheelchairs. Hang in there--it has not been as bad for me as I thought it would be. This feeling of getting full on such little food is incredible. I am still on the mushies stage, but doing really well. I have lost 14 lbs since surgery, and 24 overall, and am very encouraged, so keep the faith and everything will be fine! 258/234/140 Banded Nov. 30, 2006 Dr. James Smith, Pueblo, CO

    Non-exerciser has to share this

I have aquestion--is there anyone out there who has lost a fair amount of weight without exercising? I have severe arthritis in my knees, ankles, and feet(which is why I had the surgery in the first place), and even walking is extremely difficult for me right now. I know that as the weight comes off, my joints will start to feel better, and hopefully I can start exercising more, but what about for now? I am only 12 days post op and have already lost 12 pounds, but I know that will slow. I would lovesome feedback! 258/236/150 banded Nov. 30, 2006 Dr. James Smith Pueblo, CO
  22. Hey everyone! I was just banded on November 30, and so far so good! I am so excited to begin this amazing journey to the new me. I would love to hear from anyone out there who has some tips for me as far as what is good to eat in this first stage of the game. I welcome all e-mails or posts from anyone in my shoes just wanting to talk too! Please respond!
  23. I was just banded on Nov. 30, so i am still on mainly liquids, but I have a problem. I have to go out to a birthday dinner tomorrow night at a local steakhouse, and I have no idea what to eat! Even if they have soup, it will probably be something too think for me to eat, right? My doctor told me yesterday, that I could start trying mushy foods, so I was thinking about getting a baked potato and mushing it up really well. What do you think? Any other suggestions?:help:
  24. Thanks Denise--I will definately check it out. By the way--how do I add the statistics at the end of my posts?

    Anybody Used Xenical?

:xena_banana: Oh my God--the Xenical is not worth it! I also had some very embarrassing moments with uncontrollable "leakage". I don't think you should waste your money. I was afraid to go anywhere in public! It was disgusting!
