  2. I'm going to start this on MOnday.

I've had the app on my iPhone since forever now that I'm banded it's time to get it going.

Sounds like a good way to increase my losses.

There is an app for it?!? I will have to look for it.

I just started this today. I have told everyone I know about it so hopefully I can stay motivated. I have never had a deep love for running (I have always been a swimmer), so I know staying motivated with this will be challenge for me. I just figure I can do this at home on my treadmill instead of having to go to the gym for the pool, so this is a good way to get up and going!

  3. Hi, I'm new to all this, and just looking to learn from those who have been there. What kinds of problems did you have, and what would you have done differently?

    Thanks!!

I had a lot of problems with getting stuck in the beginning no matter how well I chewed, and it was driving me up a wall. When I saw my doctor he was insistent that I was eating too much, when all I really needed was a slight unfill. I felt really embarrassed after that appointment with him, so I went for my fluoro and had myself unfilled a bit and I never went back I was so upset.

I would have definitely NEVER quit seeing him or I would have at least transfered my care to another doctor so I wouldn't have gotten off track. When I was that embarrassed, I gave up on myself and on the weight loss, which did no good. I am back on track now though, so better late than never, but had I swallowed my pride I'd be a lot farther today!

  4. Just get back on the wagon and gain the support that you need on this site. I am currently awaiting to hear from my insurance so that I can begin this Band journey..I will be praying for your strength.

Thank you for your prayers! I finally got my fill, and so far it has been going great, so I think I am really going to do it this time around. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that you hear back from your insurance soon! Good luck!!

  5. Any type of steak is an absolute no for me. The only way I have been able to get it down was to take sips of Water while chewing it.. Which was only because I was a dinner guest and the host didn't know I can't do steak and I felt rude turning it down. Besides, I love steak!

I also can't do chicken breast.

I have to be careful though, because I have been able to do bread, rice, Pasta, popcorn, pretty much all of the no-no's with an ease. I am hoping with the fill I just got yesterday that I will not be able to down those so easily anymore.

  6. I have the Implanon as well, and I never had a problem with not being able to eat after having it put in. I wonder if maybe your body just went into a bit of shock from the pain it is coping with even though you are numbed up. The only thing I did feel like is I had a slight increase in appetite, but I have had that with every BC I have used. I love my Implanon though!

  7. Hi Everyone! I am Alisa. I am 23-years-old and I live in Virginia. I have had a bit of a bumpy road since I had my LapBand in 2008 and I decided to join here to share experiences and give as well as receive support from other banders! I know that a lot of the bumps in the road were caused by my own doings, and I am ready to get back on track, so I figured this would be a great place to start! See you around!
