I wish there was a day he had off with him being the lowest on the totum pole when others don't want to work or take a vacation he's stuck with their shifts as well. When he actually has a day off all the appointments that have been rescheduled when he was forced to work are planned. I also wish there was a grocery store around here much less one that delievers.. We got Super Walmart and that's it.. I seems every day is a new adventure in what to cook for the kids that I can eat as well. It seems the food that I can eat is what the kids are more drawn to.. I find myself working out at the oddest hours 330am was the only time I could fit it in tonight. I guess ll hve to try to do it before they wake in hopes that it doesn't wake them.. Thanks guys... We live in a small town there's no parks around that we could walk to. My kidss are 1,2 and 3 so napping is out only theh 1 yrs old naps its a struggle to keep the older to from waking her up. I tried to make a game out of it to get the kids to do the videos with me but that didn't work either. I also tried talking to him. He just doesn't care. He only thinks about himself and doing what he wants. He thinks the gym is a great idea for him and doesn't care one bit what I think. He also told me once that he didn't tell me to have surgery . Like its a inconvience to him that he shouldn't have to deal with.. I'm starting to harbor some ill feelings towards him and I feel guilty about it.

Been at 200.8 for two days now... Only motivates me more..

I'm taking protonix with my insurance its 10 bucks.. if I take it everyday at the same time its great but if I take it later in the day the acid is horrible.

I have a lot of that too.. scar tissue it sometimes goes away with time..

My surgery was covered by UHC.. UHC is very particular about their requirements being met. If you fail to meet one of their requirements they will be happy to deny you.. Insurance is a business.. Good luck to all...

I am another that takes in alot of air when I drink.. Drinking with a straw helps me take in less air and I can drink more..

Are you implying that I'm here to band bash? This is an open board anyone that registers can have an opinion. Though the band is not the option best for me, if there was not sleeve I would be getting banded. Different people do different things to get healthly it is not my intent or purpose to bring undue confusion and problems to people looking for support. Obesity is very serious. Even though I am not getting a band I expect that same support from people going thru something similar. The topic of this thread is band vs sleeve.. I would only expect people to debate or state negatives and positives about each procedure. At what point did that become disrepectful?

I know for myself I will be visiting both boards.. I believe we are all going thru a huge change in our lives and there is something I can learn from the banded and the sleeves. I enjoy this board and it is very informative for WLS as a whole. I wouldn't give this board up for anything.. IDK about all the other sleeves but I'm not going anywhere..

I also started on my journey with the intent on getting a band but after research and talks with my Dr. I will be getting sleeved.. Do your research and you will find what's right for you..

Depending on your surgeon.. My surgeon's office takes care of them all at different times. After the initial consultation they schedule the other appointments for different times.. UHC requires a 6 month medically supervised diet.. IDK if it helps but ask someone in your surgeons office how long the process is with UHC.. I finished all of my appointments within a month.. Now I'm just waiting for the gathering of paperwork to send for approval.. If you have any questions.. Send me a Message..

I had my hour long psych appointment today and she told me I had to come back next week to finish.. Is that normal?

I have had three c-sections in the last three years.. I know that c-sections are painful but I cannot imagine the sleeve being as bad.. Am I wrong? Is the getting sleeved as painful after as a c-section?

Good.. Even if it was as bad as a c-section that wouldn't have changed my mind.. I'm tired of looking pregnant when my baby is a year old.. LOL... Thanks for the reply..

I'm a one time a day eater.. I go all day without eating and then it hits me that I'm VERY hungry. I pig out and then I'm good for the rest of the day.. I know this is not healthy and in a lot of ways surgery will also fix my problem. I don't think I will miss it because I won't be staving myself and then pigging out. It's a process. I know i will miss certain foods but I look at it like this. Eating a whole cheesecake could take me about 30 minutes. If I eat one slice of the cheese cake and make it last 30 minutes I will enjoy it the same.. I hope this helps..

I think anytime you do something this serious it can make you nervous. I know before I had all my kids it made me extremely nervous. Though I haven't had the surgery yet. I can almost guarentee I will be wondering the same thing when I'm as close as you are. Trust in the reasons you decided to have this surgery. You are doing this to get healthy and make your life better. Have faith in your decision and look forward to all the progress you will have in the future.. Relax...
