I'm in the mushy phase too. I'm so happy I can eat fish (not pureed). But, like most people on here my weight loss stopped as soon as I started this phase. Oh well, at least I feel almost back to normal. Except I have been very sleepy this week.

Almost 2 weeks post-op. I'm feeling almost back to normal. I did my first Zumba last night. I was worried about how my port area would hold up to the movement. No problems!

I am 9 days post op. My hubby asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day dinner tonight. I just looked at him and laughed. Food can no longer be how we celebrate. He doesn't quite get it, but I do. And I am just fine with it all. lol

Day 1 Post Op: Feeling much better than I expected. Surgery was at 9:20, home by 1:30. In tons of gas pain until 4pm, but I forced myself to get up and pace in my living room and raise my arms up and down. That helped. Today, most of the gas pain is gone. I'm very happy with my decision.

Thank you. I had to take today off of work because I couldn't focus. I am excited and nervous.

I have mine this Thursday (3.5 days to go). Eda, what made the first day rough? I'm glad you came out of it OK.

Hi Eda,
Good luck with your surgery on Friday. I hope all goes well. I have disc problems too. Mine started degenerating. Now I have some vertebre that rub together and caused bone spurs in my spine. I know that having extra weight just makes it harder on my spine. You are being proactive about your health and your spine. You'll get to live a fun filled life with your daughters ...
