hi gigi good luck to you im a recent bandster 15/12/06 and it is massive decision but ultimately the big difference when you start this journey you feel that you will reach the end goal where as with dieting alone you feel like you climbing a mountain and you cant imagine ever reaching the summit ,i wish you all the luck in the world . nikki

<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message --> hi all its seems ages since i posted but only been few days ,beversman you sound great 20 mins huh was your surgeon going for a record ?.....lol only joking mine said i was only going to take 30 mins but including prep and recovery room i was in for 1hour 15 mins ,so not sure how long actual surgery took . well yesterday xmas dinner was buffet style and i ate a little of everything so in total a very small meal but way more than i actually thought i could as ive been eating like a sparrow hence 14 pounds off since surgery ,i also had trifle which is just about perfect consistency and i ate bowl of that my darling husband bought me new digital camera for xmas as mine was broken i thought last night would be good time to take scar pics and b4 shots as i have already lost 14 pound and have no b4 shots that big ,well all i can say is omg:omg: i had no idea how awful i looked in my underwear ,i know that sounds funny but i think i have strange mental image of myself and when i saw myself i wanted to weep and hate that image of me and hate to think thats what my hubby sees when im getting my kit of for sex. so today i feel sooo emotional and i have appetite back it been coming back for past couple of days but ive been ignoring it im on semi solids as per surgeon instructions its so strange how we all told different things to do and for varing lengths of time:confused: .im going back to my Soups as after seeing myself the way i really am i dont want to eat ever again:cry ,on a more positive note my lovely hubby bought me a stepper so maybe i just burn all this fat off my ass with excercise .i hope your xmas is going better !! banded 15/12/06 dublin dr jerome manceau

hey honey you seem so calm i was like a looney bin b4 surgery and i knew i really really wanted it !!!! dont worry if wobbles do come its like wedding day your not sure doing the right thing but you love idea of the dress ...hehe i will be rooting for you cant wait for your post saying it all over big cuddles being sent you will do great x

priscilla i just had to google its a more advanced band more helpful for a larger tummy and is made with better quality stuff,im only banded a week and soooooo pleased with decision i wish you luck sounds like you getting good start

what a concern to have...lol no i understand it is alot im only 6 days banded and ive lost i think 12 pounds im going to check scales at drs on saturday as this seems incredible to me !! im hoping for about 3lb a week loss if i stick to healthy diet have you just been really wonderful in changing what you eat ??? if you feel good i wouldnt worry ,just get loads of excercise to keep loss going and pull everything back into place i think its fabulous :clap2:

oh brilliant i love pics i must be sicko too ...lol has anyone experience free cleansing (my whole bowel contents hit loo today it scared shit out of me i was scared to look incase my bowels had collapsed )i am usually constipated so this was a massive shock to me

nathalie you make me laugh so much "im putting my jelly to bed" he he ...im doing this with the intention that i will be a really healthy looking weight where actually no one notices me for my weight its just not an issue ,i just look like a normal sized girl not skinny ..not fat and when i get there il know because i will feel good and then no matter what scales say il be at my ideal weight FOR ME :clap2: i told everyone and there dog that i was doing this surgery as i felt like instead of taking easy route i was being a rebel defiant of peoples concerns ..to be honest im not sure where i was at or what i was thinking im just really glad i did it. stacy...good luck for 28th honey and the emotional rollercoaster continues i was so weepy first two days but i feel grrrrreat and im so up for this challenge life begins for you at 39 !!!!! beversman...you are doing amazing !! you will definately be a success look how you doing without aid of the band ,i just know you will be one of those you just glide through i will be thinking of you :girl_hug: kathy good luck for tomorrow you sound in control !! we will be here for you when you return:) evathenurse we banded on same day im glad you back and doing ok im still gassy as well but im not burping at all i just live with hot beanie bag flung over left shoulder nathalie im not dry at all:confused: but i did want to ask is it just my imagination or does the band feel really tight in the morning ?? i took period at the clinic after surgery and they sometimes hormones affect it Water retention etc any views ???? also im sure my tummy grumblings are now in at least six different languages none of which tell me wether im hungry :confused:

im sorry you feeling so bad with headache ...it build up of tension im sure not sure what would help except to relax but since i was so wound up i know it not easy ,try sipping lots of fluids and lay down in dark the pc screen wont be helping but i came on here to find support ,i was scared .it only day 3 for me and im doing really good ....be brave !!! we here for ya !

lol i must be dopey too im not sure what page im on...lol your excess weight nathalie is all the bits you dont want.. im 5 8 and a bit and im aiming for 12 stone or 168 lb but im will to negotiate when im nearer weight,i think im going to concentrate how i look and feel rather than what i weigh !! im started at 270 morning of op so just downards ok for me at the moment

hang in there sweetspot you will do great drink plenty of fluids it will help

hiya you know im doing soooooooooo well ,im not too sore my wounds look good,im not really hungry,im tired but not enough to actually sleep but im so so emotional,i just feel like crying alot and i have shouted at hubby and started bawling ...(which hurts so dont try it )i also took my period yesterday so im sure that not helping but i think physically this has been easy ,emotionally im exhausted . how did you all feel after ??

well im two days in ...i feel weird im so flipping excited that im not sleeping my tummy talking to me grumbly ...yet im not hungry...im really tired but not sleepy enough to get proper rest ive slept 5 hours since op !!!which was now 42 hours ago !! im a bit emotional i was so confused a few hours before and really couldnt believe after all the planning and praying and pushing ive been doing i had pre bandster jitters but when i came around after op and first tummy pain subsided i felt fab but havent returned to planet earth,weighed myself and according to my scales im 6 lb down !!! but im paying no heed yet i will be weighed next saturday at check up and i see for real how im doing . im a little afraid of food at moment. did you all feel that way ???i cant imagine trying to chew anything :hungry: what and when was your first foods ? my diet is clear foods for two days then sloppy food like scrambled eggs or mushed up shephards pie and stuff,i just cant imagine eating pmsl i cant believe i just said that ,oh and i didnt have pre op liquid diet it wasnt required i think all you peeps who do and are.....are great:clap2: im tender at my tummy funny my neck seems stiff andthat bothering me more....my gas is on move now :omg: so thats good for me unfortunate for loved ones...pmsl. but hey better out than in ..lol hope you great day guys im on my way. oh andby the way how do i get ticker up its asking for url when i try to insert image :eek:

hiya all im a bandster whoo hoo,was banded yesterday at 11 oo am and i am brilliant ,have gassy pain which caused a few tears in the evening,but apart from that im doing great !!!:clap2: my incisions look neat i had no nausea very little pain (gets a little stiff when been in one position but as soon as i move im fine again....) im just soooo happy and it was so much easier than expected so work starts now:biggrin1: ok only problem i do have is i have only slept for two hours since im hyper and so excited that its over ,i feel so positive about whole thing . good luck for those still waiting . 267/267/168

to whom it may concern ,there has been an overwhelming reports of missing who ha's ,we here at the who ha special branch recommend lap band treatment and eventual discovery of who ha ,unfortunately people are often suffering from the stress of re-introduction so be prepared its bloody ugly anyway.......pmsl

im so excited:clap2: i got call to say that my surgery time is at 8 15am friday morning so leaving house at about 6 45 am. its really happening im about to be a bandit....lol im terrified /excited and totally unprepared i suppose i better start thinking about life for few days after surgery and get house ready as hubby will oversee everything but probably wont actual do anything:( ,if house gets messy he make kids pick stuff up but wont clean and if they hungry he cook but leave a destruction site behind him,so im praying i recover very very quickley....lol. im gladto hear you all doing ok ,bit worried about waking up with tube in throat :paranoid eek that wasnt good !!!. also my m8 told me her doctor told her that surgery not for her and she treating woman with complications from surgery but wouldnt say what ????so m8 worried for me and now has me worried.:phanvan though ive paid for it ,im doing it ,and what the hell it worth giving it a go it might just help me change my life :clap2:
