  1. Yes, I am able to proceed. Ive been taking the iron now for a month and completed more labs since I began. Im just waiting patiently.
  2. Wow!!!! I am in total agreement. This is the way Ive been thinking. If you want something in your life that will give you the ULTIMATE satisfaction then make food an associate not a friend. For the next two months I have to stay focused. This is a Huge decision we are making for our lives. Its time we give back to our bodies and treat it with the respect we like for others to treat us.
  3. yes i am truly excited. I have noticed eacn facility operates differently. We completed labs throughout the program so the doctor could watch how we were doing. For example, I am anemic and now I am required to take 2 Iron pills a day to build my blood.
  4. my daughter bought me this dumb phone - htc touchscreen.i am trying to work it.
  5. I completed all 12 and logs. Now I am waiting for the Doctor of the program to review files on Thursday, and hopefully no later than Monday get the authorization number for Pacific Bariatric to have the one day consult in San Diego. It should take about two and half weeks for everything and hopefully surgery soon after.

  11. Hey Everyone It's been a minute and tonight is the last night of Options. Whewwwww!!!!! Signed the release for records form for Pacific Bariatric and waiting for authorization number from Kaiser to have the one day consult in San Diego. We were that if all goes well, surgery can be in exactly six weeks, which will be November 1. I sure hope so; in my case anyway. I hope everyone is doing great in whatever stage you are in, be it pre or post surgery.
  12. Hey, how are you? I finished Options tonight.

  13. How are you feeling these days? Hope you are well.

  20. case manager at my facility states Pacific Bariatric is 4 to 6 weeks in that you have completed all thats needed
  21. just curious? Now that you have been sleeved and you know this is the best decision you've made for your life, how are you mentally and emotionally. What are your family, friends, and co-workers saying, if you told them? Physically, are you feeling any different?
  22. Hey Thin .... I will be finished with my Options class on September 20. Last week the case manager came in and spoke to the class as a whole and answer questions and gave us lots of info. I too am deciding to have my surgery at Pacific Bariatric. I went to the seminar last month. This past Thursday I finished my last labs and EKG and mail the medical history and copies of lab and ekg to Pacific Bariatric to get processed in there system. Now to my understanding, once you have completed Options, the instructor makes sure you have completed all your food and exercise logs (and you can also check by going to KP.org and looking under the "view past appointments"). After that the case manager will go over the file, checking that all labs, etc are completed before giving it to the doctor over the program. From there the case manager calls you to give you an authorization number and you use this number to contact PB in San Diego to set up your one day consult. I hope I helped a lil bit. I am with Kaiser Bellflower.
