  1. You will find when you are at restriction that you don't want bread at all...like ever! I have NO DESIRE for bread as I cannot eat much and so what I do eat I want Protein - I crave it! So crazy as I was literally a carbaholic before surgery! YAHOO!

You are doing wonderfully - keep up the good work! I love this forum as everyone has different experiences, ideas, and advice....it is very helpful and encouraging!

  2. Hi Maxi2010, you will be fine!

I completely understand the nerves tho. I am meant to be asleep at the moment as it is 1:40am 17th Sept in Australia, I am online cause I have been lying in bed since 11:30pm and cant settle! I need to be at the hospital for addmission by 6:30am. I am schedualed for a 9:30am surgery! eek!

But you will have had the surgery before you know and be back here letting us know how it went and how you are going!

Best of luck and look forward to reading about your op etc soon

Good luck to you hun youll be back before you know it, let us know how your doing ok xxx:tt2:

  4. Is anyone else having to give themselves Lovenox (blood thinner) injections? That stuff burns like liquid fire, not to mention that I have UGLY bruises all over my belly from giving the shots to myself. I look like my hubby just beat the fire out of me! LOL Oh well, I guess its better to be bruised for a few weeks than to have problems with blood clots. Also, is anyone having trouble drinking all they are supposed to? I feel like I can't get in all the Fluid that I'm supposed to. My band has no saline in it as of yet, no fills until 6 weeks post op...but I still can't drink all that I'm supposed to. Maybe its just me?!?!

Hi Pooky glad your up and about hun, these injection things ive not heard of and sound quiet scary  to me how long do you have to take them for ??? xx

  6. Hiya hun yeah it is exciting, but im still a bit scared too coz everyone seems to know what they are talking about the food, Vitamins, fills i surpose we will get used to it to, im getting mine done at the hospital group in birmingham, its costing £5950 too, i go to leeds for my first fill and then ill be at newcastle for the rest. so i might have just scrapped in there with that price. my surgeon is mr sigurdsson and everything looks good with the read ups and qualifications he has, nhs registered too. Who is doing yours ? let me know how its going as ive been reading that you get an upset tummy when pre oping, im starting at the weekend, good to hear from you x
