Good luck to those having surgery today! I hope that you feel better soon RiahRiah, nothing worse than being sick. I am on day 12 of Optifast with an allowance of 2 cups of low carb veges a day and I have to say that I am getting fed up still have 9 days to go (surgery 30th Aug). Cooking meals for DH and the kids is getting more and more strained. When it came to bacon and eggs on Sunday I left them to do it themselves. I have a question, has anyone else been offered Plication with their band? My surgeon has suggested it and has left it to me to decide which way to go, I have been madly reading as much info as possible on the subject.

My surgery date is 08/30, unfortunately I am on day 8 of 21 on the Optifast shakes. I am seeing the Dr on Tuesday for the pre-op consultation so will probablly find out then how much I need to lose, ( so far its 3.8kg). I am exitedly apprehensive.Many health insurers in Australia are not covering bariactric surgery any longer. I just got in with mine. BTW how do I attach the diet ticker, I just can't figure it out?
