You should be -proud of yourselves. That is such an accomplishment! Some people will always be jealous. It sounds more like it is their problem and not yours. Hold your heads up and find a set of friends that are more like family....

My surgeon gave me a prescription of Vitamin D 50,000u 2x/week for a month and then weekly thereafter...He said that most people that are overwork have low Vitamin D levels...

I have messed up the 20's something thing too...I am 45..lol . I have completed all necessary paperwork, am awaiting the psych papers to be sent back to the surgeon and then they will send it to BC/BS of MI. My surgeon and his staff feel like it will be close to the end of September if not sooner. I have started my diet of replacing 2 meals with protein shakes and having 1 light meal...very exciting and I look forward to being a September Sweetie!

I was formally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1998. I have lost and gained weight over the past 12 years. While on a diet, after about 15 lbs of weight loss, my symptoms diminsihed by at least 50%. Studies have shown that if you are overweight that small amounts of weight make significant changes. I am so excited about the fact that I may not be in pain. Best of luck to you as you begin your journey. You will find tons of help and support on this site. Remember that each Dr. has different guidelines for their clients and reasons behind those guidelines, everyone's weight loss is individualized, do not compare yourself to others. I am in the process of waiting for insurance approval, infact my paperwork is being sent off tomorrow.....

I am currently replacing at least one of my meals with protein shakes as I await my paperwork to be submitted to the insurance company. I have found over the past week that I have been having constipation issues since beginning the protein shakes. I drink at least 70 oz of H2O per day and exercise....is this normal?

I will be praying for you. I too feel some of the same thoughts. Our sermon today at church was that God was more than enough. He is big enough to help you through this struggle. He loves us so much. As a father loves His children. our heavenly Father loves us so much more. Be strong in th Lord and others will be praying for you. We have almost an identical history. I have severe back pain because of an injury to my discs (L4-L5). I have been a yo yo dieter all of my adult life. Being excited and losing 35-40 lbs only to quickly gain it again. I have Fibromyalgia. Being a nurse I have done extensive research on the Lap Band. I can not find any reason for myself not to have it. When you look at quality of life, I feel that I have none.At the present time, I have completed all of my testing, Surgeon visit, Psych eval labs nutritionist etc. I am waiting for the paperwork from my psych eval. Then they will submit all of my info to the Insurance, hopefully this week....Let your mind believe in the future. Do not allow bad thoughts that "What if I do not succeed." We can do this!

A friend of mine had the same problems after Gastric Bypass. He had a prescription compounded for phenegran. You apply it to your wrist and this will treat the nausea without going through the stomach. They told him that he had inflammation.

Thank you so much..I have BC/BC and my paperwork should go out on Monday. BC/BS requires that they send it by mail...eeek...I am suppose to wait for 2 days and then begin to call them...I am so determined.
