  1. I'm scheduled for August 12, we can share our experience!
  2. I feel like I wouldn't need the surgery if I could do that! That's a long time! I'm thankful for only having a two day clear liquid diet before surgery.
  3. Great, I'm happy for you!
  4. I am scheduled for August 12 too, we must add as friends to be weight loss buddies! I'm not sure if I have the correct advice because I have been trying to not think about it too much, it won't change anything. I don't have a two week liquid diet, just two days. I need to lose about 7 lbs though because of eating all the foods I thought I would like to enjoy while I could, in the process gaining a few pounds. I guess I will be kind cutting back and getting a few things from the store. Yay us!!!
  5. Every surgeon has different rules...for me, puréed foods start at day 15 after surgery
  6. I'm scheduled for August 12...I am slowly buying things
  7. I'm Pre-op also, my surgery is scheduled for August 12 and I remember being so excited and two hours later I cried for about five minutes. I haven't cried since, but today buying vitamins I had that stress feeling in my neck, so I know what you mean. I'm just trying to push through and keep going toward surgery.
  8. This is a very inspirational post...the pictures really put things into perspective, thanks
  9. I bought 2500 mcg...I didn't feel comfortable starting out at 5000 mcg or 10,000 mcg
  10. I had a group meeting where she went over what we could and could not have. We got a book with instructions and vitamin information. I feel the vitamins are complicated lol, I'm going to see if she will help me with that a little more the next time I see her one on one. She told us how many calories to eat during each phase and how many calories to maintain, things like that.
  11. She had her surgery over a year ago, in May of 2013. Karen, it looks like you need to cut back on calorie and change up your workouts, that's the most common sense thing, good luck!
  12. 60 grams of protein, very few people get that in the first week after surgery. I'm not looking forward to the excess skin either, but it's not like I look good now, maybe I will get plastic surgery on my tummy later on. I look at it this way, I will regret not having the surgery! God Bless!!!
  13. Surgery August 12 and part of me is happy and the other part isn't. I'm not sad or anything, I guess I'm concentrating on getting over the surgery, buying the vitamins, and getting everything ready instead of looking at the prize.
  14. Congratulations...make sure to update when you get your date!
  15. My surgeon answered all the broad questions like: time usually in surgery, types of surgery he performs, explained all the surgeries and vitamins that go with each surgery, hospital stay, how long until you can usually return to work etc. But everyone is different, most of your questions will be when you see him one on one.
  16. I need on the August 12 date! Thanks
  17. I think it is, you're not going to lose everyday. A friend of mine wasnt losing like he thought he should, so he only weighs once a month. It makes him much happier doing that, good luck and God Bless!!!
  18. Congratulations, yes, keep us posted!
  19. 1- Go places without being embarrassed...I'm so self conscious 2- Inspire my daughter
