Which blender should I get?
I got the nutribullet 12- piece recently. It makes it a bit airy so I'm still trying to figure it out lol. I have been using my immersion blender for years though. I love it. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

Weight regain after 16 months and very worried
It may be Water weight since 1200 calories wouldn't cause weight gain. Also, have you had a blood test lately... To check your thyroid...Etc? Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

Genepro powder
Been using it a long time. Love the stuff. It goes in hot and cold but if you add boiling liquid... It may clump up a little bit. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

How do I know when I am full?
I got that all the time with my band, not yet with my sleeve... But when I slimed, first the food would get somewhat stuck in my throat, and then my body would produce tons of clear mucus to try to push it out. It was gross... Is this the way it is for sleevers too? Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

Smoking
If one vapes, at two weeks before the nicotine test, switched to zero nicotine vaping. Both pg and vg are not toxic, and is in all our food and beauty products. If you smoke, you must quit since cigarettes have 3000+ toxic chemicals which may affect your surgery. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

Any actual stats or research on Genepro protein?
Been using it for since it's release (lapband since 2009). I rarely ate any meat due to issues being too tight, and I got stuck a lot (just recently had a band to sleeve revision). Blood test taken 8/24/16, Results for my protein were perfect.: My albumin lvl was 4.4 gm/dL (reference range is 3.5-5.2) and my Protein total was 7.7 gm/dL (reference range 6.4-8.3).

The Secrets of the Slim at All You Can Eat Buffets
Interesting, thank you for sharing. My husband is naturally thin, and he always gets us a booth far away (if I choose, it's up close and personal haha), he also always sits on the booth side that his back is to the buffet (I'm always facing it lol), and he absolutely scouts the entire bar before deciding what he'll eat first.

Sushi after surgery?
Yes sushi without rice is called sashimi. They usually serve it with a side of rice. I am a sashimi freak hehe.

how long is the Gastric Sleeve surgery ?
Had an outpatient band to sleeve revision (one step) and it took a little over an hour.

Majority of Band to Sleeve Revisions done in two surgeries?!
Yeah, my surgeon does it outpatient. It floored me too when she first told me! lol

Majority of Band to Sleeve Revisions done in two surgeries?!
I had the band removed and got sleeved on Sept. 2, 2016. I had the band since 2009. I'm pretty sure there was a lot of scar tissue. The surgery took about an hour, I was in at 5 am, surgery was at 7 am, walking at 11 am, and I was released at 4 pm. I believe it's the only way my surgeon does revisions. I think it's more common for surgeons to do it in 1 step now, but I'm sure it has to do with preference and skill as well. Either way works. ^^

Hospital stay: what should I take with me?
I was outpatient too like Loopylulu but I did bring super comfy, baggy clothes to wear on the ride home and a pillow to hold against my stomach during the ride. That pillow helped on a bumpy road! Good luck your date is almost here.

8 days out and I think I can consume to much.
Yike! lolol I was tempted to try this but decided against it. Even though you didn't feel good after , thank you for sharing this. It helps even more than what the nurse told me. hehe

8 days out and I think I can consume to much.
I'm like this too. I called and asked one of the nurses, and she told me "That's exactly the way it should be." Many have problems and here I feel like I didn't even have surgery! She was actually ecstatic about my well being at this stage. I called after a few days, I'm on day 10 now.

I just quit smoking
I smoked a pack a day for 20 years. I stopped when I went 911 in 2009. Before that I went to the ER every month due to lung problems, severe and ongoing bronchitis...etc. I switched to vaping shortly after my 911 episode. I've been a hardcore vaper now for over 6 years. In the 6 years I've vaped, I got the flu like only 4 times, never again to have bronchitis. For my band to sleeve revision surgery this year, I went through a serious of intensive testing. I passed with flying colors all my heart and lung tests, nuclear stress tests... etc. I was told that my chest x-ray was clear as if I never smoked, absolutely no scarring, no evidence of ever smoking. My blood and urine tests are all perfect. So congrats and glad you switched over. Vaping saves lives.

What are the kitchen must haves?
My absolutes are a food scale, an immersion blender, assortment of measuring spoons and cups, a Blender Bottle and my favorite item is the Zojirushi 16 ounce stainless steel mug to have ice Water or hot tea for home and travel. I use it as a fruit infuser too which makes the water so tasty. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

4 Days Post Op...
I'm about 10 days out. Your appetite will return after a few days, but either way just keep sipping your Water. Dehydration is a scary thing as you probably know. As far as Protein... What helped me is GENEPRO, it's a concentrated and purified medical grade Protein powder. One tablespoon in your water or tea will give you 30g of protein. What Is Your Biggest Guilty Pleasure? (Food or Not)
Not food related: Online shopping at Amazon. How I deal: I keep them in my basket for a long time, reviewing it often and then deleting the unneeded stuff. Hehe Food related: I love chips. How I deal: Mainly, I don't buy them anymore. If I do eat them, I limit myself to eat half to one serving and cut back on the rest of the day's food to stay in my calorie range. This past year, the guilt outweighed the yumminess though so that's why I just stopped buying them. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
