Endoscopy Tomorrow
Most people have no issues but just in case you have a crazy throat like mine (Even when I was completely asleep, my silly throat decided to fight it and spazz out grrr), you may have a very rare side effect of having bad acid reflux for a week or so. It will go away, just take OTC Antacid, and it'll be sufficient.

Grazing
It's 10:34 pm and decided to sign in here for some more muscle power not to graze tonight since I broke my long time streak last night . Sharing my phone message I received tonight: "Eating may bring temporary satisfaction, but it will ultimately leave you with the unpleasant feelings you started out with." (phone app is My Diet Coach Pro)

Fav protein snack after gastric sleeve
At the moment, I still really love coffee with cream, plus a tablespoon of Genepro. It's a calming morning ritual. I love string cheese too...

Grazing
Bah, I haven't grazed for so long and guess what? At midnight I had a piece of string cheese (I split it with 2 of my cats lol. They love that stuff.) I felt bad about it all morning. My reminder came through on my phone at 8 pm but I had the phone silenced. Doh!! I feel as though I broke my abstinence... Ugh, let it go, let it go.

What has been the hardest part of your journey thus far?
@@tiff291 Hi Tiff I'm glad you shared that because I completely relate. I would guess most of us relate, just some of us, like myself, can't express it as well. hehe I am so relieved you're feeling better, Tiff. <3

I really need help
Sounds more like you are too tight since you have a expanded pouch. Guessing you'll need an unfill to let your band rest and let your stomach return to normal. Just my guess, and I could be wrong. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

What Is Your Beverage of Choice?
@@cbonet With the fruit infused water: Yes, you can mix the fruits. With the kefir question: People do use them in coconut and almond milk, but once you use the grains, you can't reuse them again. You can grow them in regular milk (they need the lactose in milk as food so once the kefir is done, most of the lactose is gone), and they multiply like crazy, then once you get a lot of them, take a tablespoon of it and use them in your almond milk. That's what I've heard some people do.

What Is Your Beverage of Choice?
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me in messages. I am such a fan of kefir... And for sure, you will have lots of questions. I know I did! Most important thing in the beginning is just know once you add the kefir grains to the milk, the milk is safe to drink from that moment on to weeks later (due to the fermentation).

What Is Your Beverage of Choice?
It's super easy and fun. I've been doing it for years now. First you get 1 tablespoon of kefir grains (can buy it from Amazon or have a friend send to you since it really multiplies hehe), you add that tablespoon to 1 or 2 cups of milk, leave it out at room temperature for 24 hrs, strain the grains off, and you have kefir. You reuse the grains over and over. I still have the original grains from years ago. To the strained off kefir, you can put it in smoothies, and use just like yogurt but it has waaaay more Probiotics than yogurt, more strains to protect you from illnesses. Then with the strained kefir grains, you just add that into new milk and you do it over and over. It's easier to watch the video below as I'm not ept enough to explain it hehe. It's a great hobby too! Here is my favorite youtube video (it healed this girl from Crohn's disease):

No longer answering these questions:
I don't mind answering most questions. I think the only question that bothers me is the "I lost 1 million lbs in 3 weeks, and my weight hasn't changed for 3 days, what am I doing wrong?" Mainly because I think it has the potential to make a slow or average loser feel bad. In addition, the expectations of the surgery is a bit outrageous.

The 10 Commandments of the LapBand.... a revisit
Ahh, ok I'm used to calling them empty calories. Those 10 rules are applicable to many of us. Thank you

What do you miss or think you will miss about being obese?

Six week liquid diet!
First off I want to say what an incredible job you've done so far. That's a long time! I had to do it for 3 weeks and it was probably the hardest thing I've ever done physically speaking. You're almost there, and it will be worth it at the end. I know you know this deep down. Popsicles out of the liquids you are using (I made popsicles out of my Protein shakes to get that bite and chew feeling, jell-o, warm broth. I'm sure you already know all this though. Hang in there since you're so close now, and hug yourself for doing such an amazing job already. Most of us only have to do it for 2 weeks. I'm seriously impressed here.

When did you start purée?
My program wasn't till week 3. Conservative ramp up, I know. I like being extra careful but to be honest. I kind of agree with the programs that move you a little faster through the stages. Their rationale is that mushies tend to be higher in calories, and they don't fill as quickly.

How LITTLE saline can be removed from band?
My original lap band doctor was so excellent. If I still was in the area, I think I'd still have the lap band. At first he'd put in like 1 ml or more just to get me to a good range, then he was very patient adding small increments 0.3 ml, 0.2 ml until it was perfect. I was a happy camper. Once I moved (moved to 3 different states in 5 years due to jobs) I had the hardest time finding decent fill doctors who filled new patients with such precision and patience (other than their own). I had to go through all the hoops of filling out paperwork, questionnaires...etc., sometimes physicals (ugh) just to get a fill. I actually went to my current surgeon (sleeve) to try to find a good adjustment under fluoroscopy, but that's when it was suggested I get a revision, so since my insurance covered it, I went for it.

Grazing
Night cravings have been an issue for me for a long time. What I did was set a timer (in one of my diet apps) about an hour before the pattern would usually begin along with some "emotional eating" quote. That would remind me to keep busy with my hobbies and/or work till I go to sleep.

September Sleevers!
That is also my first sign. If a small burp doesn't move it. It's definitely time for me to stop. I also get a runny nose.

What did you NEED to know from your docs?
I asked what size bougie do they use (mine doesn't use bougies but they use the endoscope instead). I also asked what percentage of the stomach they remove since doctors have different techniques and the size of my stomach would be at the end (MTV). Most of my questions were surgery specific questions. Other questions that weren't surgery specific was whether the 30-30 Water rule applied to Protein shakes (It doesn't). Hmm, what else? Calorie goals once I'm cleared for solid foods. How long I'd be at the hospital after surgery. Could they give me extra anti-nausea meds after surgery since I am prone to nausea anyway (and motion sickness) Things like that.

Worried pouch is too big
It isn't. It's different with mushies. You'll see a huge difference when you get to solids and more dense food. I assure you .

September Sleevers!
Reading us September sleevers, it's really cool how we have all evolved . Most of us are cleared for all foods, Kind of cool thinking back on our pre-op diet... Etc. I get tickled easily so forgive me. ^^
