  4. Hello all! I hope everyone had a great week. One week to go for our January challenge. It's been challenging to say the least but I think we're all going to do great! I wanted to post a challenge for us (since some of you have done so in the past). I went to my monthly support meeting this past Monday and it was all about physical activity. There was a personal trainer and yoga instructor there showing us chair exercises. It was awesome. The personal trainer said something that really stuck with me and I thought that it would be a good "challenge" for us for this week. She said that it was important to change up our exercise routines every so often (like adding a class a week) to keep our bodies burning as much fat as possible. So here's the challenge...change up your exercise routine at least once a week. If you walk daily - add a bike ride, if you go to the gym - add a class, if you swim - add a water aerobics class. I did it this week and I have noticed a difference in my weight loss. I know today is not our weigh in day so I won't post my loss yet but for the first time in 3 weeks I have a LOSS. :-D If you would like to add a class to your routine I HIGHLY recommend taking a zumba class, you won't be disappointed. It's super fun and I've been told that you can lose up to 900 calories in an hour. I LOVE zumba and I know you will too. Most gyms offer the class or you can just go on zumba.com and search for one near you. Good luck and let me know what you guys think about the challenge.

    Question..

I work at an office and I was banded on a Wednesday and took Thursday and Friday off, I went back to work that following Tuesday (since Monday was a holiday). The only "pain" I experienced was gas pain, it was more then the previous days because I was moving around more then I had been. After Tuesday's gas pains I was good to go. Good luck to you!

    SEXXXXXXX

1 week my boyfriend was very careful when he was on top (the safest position I think, he wouldn't put any of his weight on me)...no weird and strenuous positions. After 2 weeks we could have sex any way we wanted. <--- ok that sounded funny but you guys know what I mean.
  8. Congrats guys! You guys are doing awesome! Charmin it stands for Non scale Victory. A victory that has nothing to do with the scale. though we all LOVE on scale victories.
  9. WAY TO GO, THAT'S AWESOME! *doing a happy dance for you!!!*
  10. Viv checking in this MLK day. I so glad for this day off. I weighed in and I'm still at 219.6...what the crap? Uggh I am thinking that it's the lack of protein, I haven't been keeping up with my protein so I think I will try to do better this week. But it's better to maintain then to gain. I'm half way to my goal and my dr said this could happen.:/ I am definitely down for the squats and crunches. Congrats on your weight loss. WTG!!! Take care peeps! Hope this week is better then the last.
  11. Hey! I live in NOVA, Lorton area. I can totally understand! My boyfriend and I would go out to eat every Friday and Saturday. During my pre op and post op (right after surgery) stage we held out in going, he was so supportive. Now I'm at a point where I can go out and eat and eat a little and still have that time with him. It'll pass...and quickly. Don't worry. Tons of luck to you!
  12. That happened to me...it felt like I got unfilled instead of a fill. But it got a little better as the days passed. Just keep measuring your food and you'll be ok. I've heard that it takes 3-4 fills (on average) to find the sweet spot. Don't worry we'll get there. I've had my 2nd fill and it's way different, I feel like I can still eat anything and more then 1 cup but at least I don't have that "worse then before" feeling. Hope that makes sense. Good luck!
  13. My brother in law had sleeve surgery yesterday. Boy is it different then mine, you can tell it's more painful....praying for his speedy recovery. I told him that soon we'll be having to share a plate of food! Can't wait for that! LOL

  14. Good job...way to go! You're doing amazing! I had GB issues before lap band surgery and had to have it removed...must say GB surgery is a piece of cake!
  15. haha that's ok...I was like "oh no did they kick me out" LOL Thanks!
  16. Try JCPenney's I went and got new dress pants because I had the saggy butt too. Everything was on super duper sale. I got 6 pants and a cardigan for $100.
  17. That's for keeping this going...but I don't see myself on the list.
  18. I'm in! I would like to be in onederland! My birthday is March 10th so it would be an awesome gift to myself. My goal is 19 lbs. Thanks!
  19. haha congrats on your surgery! I'm assuming that stretching isn't going to hurt you...just take it easy and slowly and I'm sure you'll be fine. But you're right nothing better then a good stretch. Tons of luck to you!
  20. Thanks girlie! I'm definitely not beating myself up because I know I didn't try my hardest...gotta keep pushing and fighting the good fight...oh and it's definitely better to maintain than to gain! Thanks again for keeping the updates!
  21. Hi, happy Monday! I'm definitely still on holiday mode I think because last week was rough. I wasn't great with my diet...which the scale reflects that. I need to refocus and get it together. This week I WILL get my butt back in the gym and get all my Protein and Water in. My (Viv) weight is 219.6 lbs...no weight loss for me last week. :/
  22. Thanks so much Lindsey! Would it be possible to update info? The weight I posted the first time was the wrong weight. I updated the post...my weight as of Monday was 219.6. Thanks so much!

    Going Potty ?

Oh boy! I am lucky if I go once a week. It's very concerning. The nutritionist/doctor were really no help, they said it's what happens when you lose weight. After surgery it has been soooo difficult. I take benefiber but that does no good. You're not alone.
  24. Hi! Just wanted to let you know you are such an inspiration! You look amazing. I hope to be walking in your shoes one day. :)
