Oh that must be so exciting! You are on your way . There is so much knowledge here so your in a good place.

I feel so tired of looking so fat . So I guess that is vanity to some degree. In adition to having panic attacks at night thinking Im dying from a heart attack Its a combination for me , I have always been healthy , but every sense realizing my weight has made me have health issues now Im scared in addition to feeling fat. So its a combination of things .

I havent had my lap band yet, but I just wanted to offer support through your trying time, I do agree with the others to not give up . Try to keep your spirits up too take care of your mind as well as the modifications you have made in your diet..

Hi Amanda Well I will pray for to have this approved!:biggrin1: :biggrin1: I am going through the jumping through hoops part with insurance .. but with not so good luck , so far . (keep me in your prayers too.) Its so exciting to finally know that there is a tool to help in aiding weightloss isnt it. I pray for the best for you and cant wait to here of your approval Take care

Oh my Tricia , I am so very sorry for the loss of your cousin.. I cant even image what you and your family is going through. I just wasnt expecting that outcome when I was reading your post.:confused:

I too just found this thread .. it should be a sticky:) I just need to talk .... Thank you Lord for all of your blessings, I was feeling un easy last night ..but the power of prayer is amazing !! I prayed and just had peace come over my mind. I thank God for his grace and mercy .and I pray that God's grace and love be felt by everyone . Thank you fellow believers for there being a place to come and rejoice at the Love of God here on this site . I ask that any of you who wants to , please pray for me that some how some way I have this sugery , my insurance doesnt seem likely , and I will self pay , but that will take awhile for me to start saving for. But we all know the power fof prayer..:clap2: and I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me . Thank you and God Bless !:confused:

Well I look forward to so many things some are crossing my legs with out it breaking me into a sweat. walking into a store and finding the perfect outfit knowing they DO carry my size . Not having to take high blood pressure meds Looking at myself and honestly liking what I see seeing my waisteline not hearing "Big Girl" jokes directed at me (mostly by my thin family members) Not hearing "you have such a pretty face" ..guess the rest of me is..... Having energy and feeling 32 or younger I could go on..... these are things that I look forward to :confused:

No I havent been banded yet, but vry excited for the day to come where I am:) I hope things continue to go well for you :biggrin1:

Hi Carlos , How wonderful to know that this forum is a source of support that you referr patients to. I know I , as someone who hasnt been banded yet, appreciate the information I have recicved as well.

First I just want to say HUGS TO YOU , I read you post crying my eyes out .. I feel the exact same way you do. It felt like you typed my thoughts , I too have NOBODY to who supports me. I dont have a husband any more as I am now going through a divorce, but I feel so alone in my battle or struggle to change my life. I understand how hurt you feel that your husband isnt being supportive..and Im sorry that you have to go through that. The thing I am doing is what I have always done with my feelings , Im just tucking them inside and proteting myslef . I WILL do this sugery , even though I will have no family along with me (I chose to not tell my family ..as they would be brutly honest on how I am stupid to let someone cut me open to loose weight) I will pray for you that you can find the strength to be there for yourself ..even if nobody else will. If you just want to talk with someone who understands please PM me. Hugs to you again Sweetie

Ok so maybe there is such a thing as ME reading or getting too much information. I'm researching the LapBand preparing for this and reading through posts because I havent had the sugery yet, but want to be well informed . Butttt.... I know in some ways Im a easy person to scare .. because just reading the bottle of Metimucal had me to scared to take it. So I didnt . The may cause choking or swell up your throat , if not taken with enough liquid totally freaked me out. My main concern is I have a hard time with the thought of choking or feeling as though I am .. with that said I am just wondering is this truely a common occurance that most of you have felt from time to time? Im scared that I will do the banding , and then become a permanate fixture at the ER:omg: , or my doctors office fearing Im dying from choking ( yes, I have been told by friends I can be a bit of a Hypochondriac..) I dont know why Im panicing because I know there will be some who had bad things happen or go wrong.. Its just Im starting to think that the vast majority has had dificulting swallowing .. which may send me into a panic. Do you think this may be a reason for me to not do this surgery ?I know its my decision and, I'm not trying to find a reason to back out .. just honestly have a scared moment again. :help:

oK NOW totally hit the nail on the hammer.. I have a fear of choking, that is why I dont eat jolly ranchers or any hard candy.. nor would I let my son. I understand the chewing really good , its just when I think of me choking or having esphagus problems (that I have read about on here) it terrifies me. Again it just may be worst cause senerios

For me I like a guy to be TALL the taller the better .. the weight isnt so much an issue. But I've never been attracted to a man who is shorter than me. If he is thin or chubby .. it would be ok, though I prefer beefy broad shouldered strong men who I feel I wouldnt BREAK..

Ahh , well still great you found one, Im so happy again to hear positve thing from a 6 year Bander ! So glad your doing well Has it been hard for you at all ? Im getting banded hopefully in January if I get approved through insurance and dont chicken out..:nervous

Hi wonderful that you have had your band so long with sucess! I havent had mine yet , but I do plan on having it done . Have you looked for a doctor to see you where you have moved to yet. Good luck and Welcome:)

Hi there ,, so how exactly do you get this test done? Did you have to swallow anything? Hope all is well with your results too
