  1. I couldn't be happier for you!
  2. How cool! The 13th. I'd give him a black cat toy for good luck.
  3. Wear a pad, tell the nurse at check in when she is asking all the questions.
  4. Lower photo looks like the Elephant Man...really. thanks for sharing. I guess it slips and then starts backing up like bad plumbing.
  5. I think when you post a warning that they are graphic, that is fair enough.
  6. No. I'm flying from at sea level to the mountains of Denver, CO. I just talked to the doctor today. We are good to go. Many members have flown to Mexico and other states for surgery. You should be just fine.
  7. Do you REALLY want someone to call Kenneth Star? That was so messy. Besides, is that really what will make or break them in the Oval Office doing their job? There are just some things you shouldn't know about a person (TMI).
  8. I couldn't agree with you more. And it drives me crazy. I really worry about folks that vote for a candidate because they have "a really cool name" or "their campaign posters rock!" *sighs*
  9. Stick with your gig. Maybe do a rehersal a few days before to see how you hold up. You can always have someone on standby just in case you aren't able to do it. But once you get in the music zone you'll be great. What kind of music do you play? Some of my dearest friends are musicians full time. (they actually make a living at it)
  10. MMMMMM I'm not so sure about speaking what Jesus would do (never did like that bracelet, it assumes too much) Anyway, Jesus drove the money changers from the temple and he didn't exactly do it by pointing to the exits and saying "Single file folks, this way"

  12. Hey Conno, congrats to you and hubby. Welcome! Lots of info here. and greetings out to Norman, Oklahoma. Welcome.
  13. Its interesting...the blood. Its what makes demons flee. Its also the most important thing to life. Its more precious than the air we breathe. If its so valuable, how can anyone hate it? What is so revolting about it. Have you not ever loved anyone so much that you would do anything to keep them with you? Yes blood is impressive, but not revolting. Impressive indeed. (snip) <<<Okay this makes me want to wear a turtleneck.>>
  14. Only if you promise not to vote for adulterers in the Democratic party. (UH OH.. we may not be voting!!)
  15. I think that is a good platform to start from. My district insurance committee went to BCBS and asked for the purchase of a rider to my plan. At the time, the rep. was SURE OKAY NO PROBLEM but three weeks later he said it was a no go. That we were "fully insured". So it wasn't my school district's fault, it was the putz (plural putz) at BCBS. Good luck!
  16. Fantastic thoughts here. I'm 18 years in education. I'll bet we could talk.
  17. Welcome! I encourage you to go to the Forum Jump at the bottom of the site and see all of the topics. I spent days reading doctors and hospitals and insurance issues. You can read my insurance woes in the Blue Cross thread. I weight 361 at this moment. Last week I was up to 372 having spent a week in bed from an ankle sprain. I fall so easily these days. I have Type II diabetes, high blood pressure which is controlled by medication. I also have diverticulitis and sleep apnea. I am on 8 medications and use a CPAP machine for the apnea. My insurance denied my surgery despite the all clear from all the other doctors. I have an "exclusion" that specifically does not cover anything related to weight loss or weight gain. Do as much research as possible. Make phone calls to these doctors and ask questions. do what you feel is the right thing for you. Most of us have been BURNED by the arch angel of weight loss who lives on the air at midnight in the form of infomercials or in print ads with promises of "tighter abs" (and a glowing white smile and hot looking partner to go with it). Do what is right for you.
  18. an Alien inside you?
  19. By no stretch of the imagination am I voting for anyone because of their ethnicity or religious beliefs. So why does the press feel obligated to tell us about Barack Obama, who is not BLACK but is more MIXED with anglo, African, Indonesian heritage. Sometimes I think the press perpetuates problems. Great article. BTW heard a statistic that despite all the roar from Hollywood, "Passion" grossed 4 million in sales the first week the DVD was released. "Touched By An Angel" has been running how long?
  20. I've been outed.
  21. Billy likes his cigars. Wasn't he a Democrat? Yawn. Where's that dead horse at? OH, here it is...
  22. (and is it me or banana16 looking "happy"?)
