    Band Slipping

    Drinking hot beverages can help break up the mucous. My band is currently slipped. My only symptoms are reflux that occurs regularly. I'll have it repositioned on December 8th. What would you take preband for your sinuses? You can probably still take it. Best wishes! Joan
  10. Disappointed in losing 136#?! You are doing a FANTASTIC job! You will make your goal weight before you know it! I am chugging along, down 54#, dealing with the reflux from my slipped band. All in all things are going well. Repositioning surgery is scheduled for December 8th. Joan

I had a hiatal hernia repair at the time of my original band. Do you know why yours slipped? How was your recovery after your second surgey? I have a Protein shake that I mix myself almost every morning. This works for me because of the extra protein and nutrients.     October 60 Mile Walk Challenge

    Hello, I did 48 miles for the month of October. I was sick this last week and didn't exercise at all beyond working daily and hose work daily. See ya for the November challenge! Joan

Thank you for the creativity and humor! ONDERLAND! Name, real or screen~ Joan Age~ 50 Weight on October 1st~ 183.4 Goal Weight for October 29th~ 178.4 Exercise Goal for October~ 60 miles in October challenge, plus gym 2X per week. Dietary Goal for October~ limit ice cream to 3X a week, not 7! Personal Goal for October~ go to the movies 2X Date Banded~ December 2, 2010 Total Weight Loss Since Banding~ 42# I am checking in at 178.4. I met my weight goal for the month. : ) I didn't reach my exercise goal but will continue to work towards this. Did great on ice cream 3x a week or less, actually. Only went to the movies once. I hope this was a good month for one and all and that we'll see you at "The Turkey Challenge", which will start November 1st.

    Whenever you are awake you need to be sipping liquids. You are probably dehydrated. I think I went to protein shakes around day 3. Maybe get some gatorade to sip in addition to water and juice. Joan

  18. I treated myself to a pedicure. I love going to my favorite thrift store and was there Friday, as a matter of fact. Great job on the X large shirt! I am checking in at 180.6, that is 1# down for the week. I am pleased with that! I went to Costco Friday and bought a pair of size 12 pants. I had to take them home since they don't have dressing rooms and they fit! I was thrilled! I hope your weekend is going great!!! Joan

  20. Just keep doing what you know you should, protein, water, exercise... and the weight will come off. I flucuate quite a bit scale wise and it is often without cause or reason. Look at the bigger weight picture, like over a month or two, and don't get freaked out by a weight increase one week. Many factors affect weight, fluid retention, bathroom habits... Hang in there and you'll keep heading in the right direction! Larry~ How's your new grandson? Being an RN and a past nursery nurse, I couldn't help but notice the IV, oxygen and monitors. My one and only baby was 6#3oz, too bad his mama gained 60#, LOL! Let's all get out and enjoy this fabulous fall weather! Joan
