  1. What has everyone been up to?

My first flight since banding was easy. I just stuck to the liquid before and after, and really didn't feel like eating much later at dinner. We have a few more trips coming up this month and I feel comfortable that things will work out.

My NSV-->I am able to fit into size 16 pants. My mom and co-workers have been telling me to stop wearing those baggy pants, but I held on. So today, I'm going to do the purging of the closet of those 20's & 22's. Lots of work to do cause I love to shop!!!!

I'm really happy that this group is around because when I start to feel like I'm not using my tool right, I can learn different ways to use it here.

    Thanks!!!

I'm glad the flight went well!

Let me know if you need a home for those 20's and 22's! I could really use them!

  2. PrairieD -- how long after surgery b/f you could hold your little one? I have a 2.5 year old. I don't really have to hold her much. She can walk, get in the car, out of the car, etc., but I was wondering.

I'm going to schedule my surgery with Dr. Hoehn soon. Can't wait!

Toto - That was the hardest part - my son wasn't walking yet so I had to rely on my husband or mom to pick him up for 3 weeks! I held him while sitting (on floor, chair, in bed, etc) since the day of surgery. I just always made sure to protect my port for any kicks. Dr. Kowalski (my surgeon who is Dr. Hoehn's partner) said that this issue is bending over and picking up things over 20 lbs. So I always squat to pick him up.

I remember thinking it would be impossible to go for 3 weeks and not pick him up. It really wasn't - we could still snuggle and he finally learned to walk!! :(
