The nurse at the doctor's office told me that some people can drink carbonated beverages, but the problem is that the bubbles expand the pouch. That it might not happen on the 1st drink, but it would eventually expand the pouch.

I was told the same thing about Advil and to take Tylenol. I get Migraines, but was told that I was okay with taking the Fiorcet that was prescribed for them.

Got a phone call on July 6 from the doctor's office to let me know that I have my pre-op on July 19 and surgery scheduled for August 2.
