  1. I had the same exact thing... I went back yesterday for another fill and a check and this time only .5cc was missing... he said he was okay with that as long as it wasn't 2-3ccs. I am self pay so I was very nervous it was a leak but he said if it were a slow leak he would just do more frequent fills on me so I wouldn't have to dish out cash for another surgery... He has only had one other person have a leak and she was a self pay too so this is what has been working with her.

  2. Where are you in VA? I'm in Richmond and LOVE my Dr.... Dr. Elliott at Henrico Doctor's Hospital. I always get an appointment to see him and he does all of the bariatric patients... no PAs or NPs and his partners just do the general surgery type stuff. He does fills under fluoroscopy so he can see your restriction and I had my first one done today. It was cool to see it working because my band was REALLY loose and he had to put 4cc in. I have the 9cc Realize Band.

  3. I'm just worried that it's more than just bandster hell... I'm a worrier though! Today was supposed to be my first follow up appointment and the doctor had to cancel because he was in a case that was going bad and had no idea when he would be back to the office. I'm glad that this happened AFTER my surgery though so I didn't have anything extra to think about beforehand. With my bf being a surgeon I know that things can go wrong and you can run into the unexpected but it just makes you think.

  4. I had my surgery on the 18th and I can tell you there were a lot of naps the next couple of days. It wasn't so much the pain as the being sleepy and needing rest and recovery. (I was taking Tylenol, only took pain medicine the night of the surgery) I went back to work on Monday the 23rd and had no problems. I'm a nurse and was in classes all week for a new job. Last night was my first 12 hour shift since the surgery and night shift so it was kind of hard to make it all night but I was fine.

  5. My incisions came open after the dermabond came off. My boyfriend who is a surgeon said he tells all of his patients to clean with hydrogen peroxide and then put neosporin on it. I've been doing this the last few days and they are looking a million times better already. He said he rarely has an infection or problem with incisions since he tells his patients this.

  6. The boyfriend cleaned it out for me yesterday and said it looks okay. He said it looks like maybe they just didn't clean it out very well before they put the dermabond on and that they probably stretched the incision which caused some of the discoloration I saw. He said just keep neosporin on it and clean out with peroxide. Today it's looking a million times better :o I think the dermabond was just keeping in the gook that needed to come out.

  7. My dr prescribes Emend to everything the morning before the surgery... he said it takes longer to kick in. Anesthesia also gave me medication. I had told them I had gotten pretty sick with previous surgeries and pretty mean/wild when I was recovering so they gave me a lot of good stuff and I was pretty gorked when I first came out of the OR but I was up and able to walk like 2 hours after I left the OR! I kept on walking too.... it felt way better than laying in the bed!

  8. last night and today I slept with a pillow kind of supporting my belly. Anytime my belly jiggles it bothers me lol. So I thought of how we tell pregnant women to support their bellies with pillows and it helped!!! By the end of the night I was pretty comfy sleeping on my side as I usually do. I have a hard time sleeping any other way! I start a new job on Monday but it is all classroom stuff the first 2 weeks so I think I'll be okay. I feel like I am doing great for it only being one day after surgery but was just curious how others are feeling. I think I have a little more trauma also because he only used 2 incisions (navel and next to it). The second incision is very small too. My mom just came into town to "take care of me"
