  1. last night and today I slept with a pillow kind of supporting my belly. Anytime my belly jiggles it bothers me lol. So I thought of how we tell pregnant women to support their bellies with pillows and it helped!!! By the end of the night I was pretty comfy sleeping on my side as I usually do. I have a hard time sleeping any other way! I start a new job on Monday but it is all classroom stuff the first 2 weeks so I think I'll be okay. I feel like I am doing great for it only being one day after surgery but was just curious how others are feeling. I think I have a little more trauma also because he only used 2 incisions (navel and next to it). The second incision is very small too. My mom just came into town to "take care of me"
  2. Ok, phew. Glad it's not just me! I had no idea I had a hiatal hernia going into it and I had asked him to take copies of pictures for me before hand... I'm glad I did now that I had that done too  This afternoon I feel very sleepy but cannot get comfortable to sleep. I just took a percocet so that should help. I keep pushing myself though b/c I am afraid of getting blood clots or pneumonia... paranoid nurse here lol
  3. Hi guys, I've not said much around here but have lurked for a while. I have set my surgery date of August 18th and I'm feeling pretty good about it so far. I was a little nervous at first but now feeling better. My big question though is did anyone else feel like they wanted to eat everything in sight and mind when they found out they were having surgery? The nutrition classes have just made me "hungry" and crave things that I shouldn't. I start the pre-op diet next Monday and I've started trying different shakes and easy crock-pot style meals. Any tips???:scared2:
  4. What was your approval process like? Do you have to have the comorbities for 2 years also? Does the blood pressure have to be high even on bp pills? I'm getting very nervous as my BMI is only 37 but I really need this surgery to help me. I am a yo-yoer and am starting to have a lot of problems. I suffer from chronic back pain (probably DJD), elevated BP, and now my sugars are starting to elevate as well. I recently was diagnosed with hypothyroidism after ten years of symptoms and am at a therapeutic level on my medications. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks! Has anyone actually gained weight to bump their BMI up??
