emsbugbug got a reaction from va_viv in Minor Meltdown in Dressing Room
No longer in the 20's!!!! OK, so I had a minor meltdown in the dressing room today. I have been a size 20 something for YEARS!!!! I mean like forever! I never thought anything would go over my butt again that wasn't a 20, 22, 24, 26, 28...yes, 28, that is what I WAS before surgery. NOW, I AM AN 18!!!!!!! OMG! There were TEARS! BIG ONES!!! I know people were staring when I came out, but that is SOOOOO OK! I had tears but I was grinning from ear to ear!!! I am sure they were quite confused.
Lap-Band = BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE!!!!

emsbugbug got a reaction from TucsonAnnie in Eating out in restaurants
I always just order a Water with my meal and then set it aside. It cuts down on all the puzzled looks and questions. It's funny at first, but then just gets aggravating and I get tired of explaining over and over again that I don't want anything.

emsbugbug got a reaction from kab1278 in 1200 calories a day, but what about sugars?! What's your food plan look like?
If you like yogurt and you have a Kroger around you, they have yogurt called Kroger Carbmaster. It is pretty good and has on 3 grams of sugar and 60-80 calories. I really like it and sometimes add a pack of Stevia to sweeten it up. It's a great snack!

emsbugbug got a reaction from KristinaAshley in Hair
I am currently having some Hair loss issues. I was banded in Sept. 2010. From what I have read, this is pretty normal due to the trauma of the surgery and should stop within 3 months. I get all my Protein in and am taking my bariatric Vitamins along with Biotin. Hopefully it will stop soon.
