WOW!!! It's finally here... the moment I have been waiting for . I will officially be banded tomorrow. :ohmy: Is it a little weird that I'm not nervous? That I'm finally ok with what is going on and I'm not freakin' out at all. :smile:. YAY!!! Wish me luck!!!! For all of us getting banded tomorrow: God, grant us the... I'll have my comp right by my side in the hospital room, lol. @Bklynike: I also thought about the pasta, bread, and especially the RICE!!! And yea, change is scary but I know its necessary.... I know I'll appreciate it as well as my son will because I'll be a more active mommy

Hi everyone!!! I get banded on Monday (9/27) :biggrin:!!!!! Im on liquids now and my mind is playing games with me, I swear! I know I'm not hungry but I can't stop thinking about food .

If I drink another can of chicken or beef broth I'm gonna freakin' vomit!!! Most disgusting thing I've ever had to swallow. And don't get me started on the damn Jello!!! :thumbup: I don't know if I can make it until Monday. This clear liquid diet is sooo gross. :smile2: I'm so hungry I tried licking my husbands fingers while he was eating his flamming hots :thumbup:. Please tell me it gets better.... :thumbup:.

I would love to eat pudding and add spices to the broth but my doc said no. Im to the point where I'd rather not eat... scratch that... DRINK. I'm sticking to my water and protein. And you know what? Surprisingly it's not that difficult today. Hopefully the next 3 days are as easy as today.

I should be starting my liquids on wednesday but I'm going to start today. I'm so nervous I don't even have an appetite, lol. So hopefully it won't be so difficult. :thumbup:

I got the call today!!! I have been approved by the insurance and my surgery date is September 27th!!!! I can't believe it!!! This is really happening!!!! :thumbup: Thank you God Almighty... Lord please guide these surgeons and please allow me to have a safe and quick surgery/recovery. :tt1: I hope the surgery goes as smooth as possible. I've been praying about this... hoping that it would happen. :thumbup::w00t::thumbup::w00t::smile2::w00t::w00t: Im getting nervous and soooo many things are running through my mind right now.... Oh gosh.

Thanks everyone!!!! So I have a 5day liquid diet before next monday... any suggestions? I know I can only have clear liquids... like the broth, jello, popsicles, etc. But what really worked for you to beat the hunger?

I finally got the call today guys!!!:wub: My surgery is scheduled for September 27th!!!! There are so many emotions running through my head right now!!!! I'm excited and scared (but mostly excited). UGH!!! I'm like on a natural high right now :smile: This is amazing... I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!AHHHHH!!!!!:thumbup:

So here I am. Waiting, waiting, and waiting. :frown: Anxious to find out if I have been approved or not. Although I'm pretty sure I will be, I just want a surgery date. I want to get this surgery over with. It took me a long time to figure out wether or not to go with it :thumbup:. I had many doubts while deciding. Am I making the right choice? Will this really work? Will I die on the table? Will I wake up from the anesthesia? Will I ever be able to eat again? Will I ever be able to ride a roller coaster? Play sports? What are my parents going to think? Most importantly... what's God going to think?::laugh: *SIGH* It was a long while before I decided to go ahead with the surgery :bored:. Then I found this website and started reading non stop :w00t:. I am on here almost everyday and I always learn something new :cool2:. I love hearing the good, the bad and the ugly. I want to absorb as much as I can. I think that the more I know, the more comfortable I feel with my decision. I've let my weight spiral out of control after I had my son was born. I wasn't exactly skinny before my son but I loved my body. I thought I was a good size and I felt good about myself. I need that confidence back. I need my energy back. I need ME back :wub:.

You can do it!!!!!! It's going to be difficult the first few days but distract your mind with other things so that you're not thinking about food. Just keep yourself busy and keep your eye on the prize

Yea, it does seem that way. Its been about 3 weeks since my paperwork has been submitted to the insurance and it feels like a freaking lifetime! :alien: So 9/28!!!! Wow. That's exciting. I hope all goes well for you and you have a fast and easy recovery. :wub:

Just wanted to give a quick update... in case any of my fellow Chicagoans out there are reading :thumbup:. My paperwork was submitted to my insurance about two weeks ago and I'm sooo anxious to find out if they approve me or not. I want to call the surgeons office like everyday and ask, lol, but i think at this point its best not to get on their nerves. I want everything to go as smooth as possible. So I'm just here... trying to get my mind off of finding out :thumbup:. So anyway, one of my friends just got her band put in last Thursday and I think I was more excited than she was!!! Only a week out and you can already tell that the pounds are melting off!! Its amazing... I can't wait till its my time to shine :thumbup:. :ohmy: For all of you reading this: Where are you in your journey?!? Any tips, advice, personal struggles, positive thoughts, achievements???
