Hello, I am going to my 1st appoinment on the 12th to St. Alexius Hosp...So what can you tell me about Dr. Follwell and the hospital I am very nervous about going..Sence you go I thought I would ask...

Dr. Ahuja in Herrin, IL is doing lapband operations now he takes all insurance even IDPA...My husband has him as his doctor.

My husband is in the process of getting the band and his doctor told him he can not have no more then 300-500 calories per meal..and stay away from all sugar and bread products.

I am looking at getting banded hopefuly next mon. I am just wondering what you mean when you post you have no restrictions and you do have restrictions...Sorry I am new...

What is your secret on loosing so much weight within a year..I am going to be getting the band in the near furture so I am gain for all types of information and secerts..LOL Congrats on your weight loss I sure hope I get mine off...

I am looking foward of getting the band but just not all the pain..LOL, U could always ask your doctor about the birth control shot so you don't have to worry about if you miss a pill...congrats on your weight loss:thumbup:

I understand where you are coming from my family isn't for me getting it either but my husband is and he is really supporting me thru it and what is really going to help out is he is looking in on getting it also. My mom told me the other day that all I needed to do was cut back on eatting and exercise. I have done that, and when I joined Curves I ended up gaining weight. So I am doing to without family also. My husband is really the best/only support person I have and that is why I turned to this site for more help and answers. Good Luck.....

Wild*Child can you please ask Dr. Ahuja if people that are in the process of getting the operation can come to the Herrin Hosp. and let me know...for I would really like to come there instead of having to keep going to St. Louis. Thank U
