  1. Whooooooooooooooooa! You guys have been busy!

I'm a bit late, but BBK, if some one sends you a friend suggestion on FB, the "friend" doesn't get notification of that. So if you ignore it, they are none the wiser. Ignore away in the future!

Now, do I *really* want to read the prostitution thread?? Hmmmm

  2. Who knows BBK, people are idiots. I HAVE put on weight cos I have been eating and drinking "wildly", by my own admission. But I'm an adult and come the new year, I'm whooping my own ass back into line. I'd hate to see what kind of response I would get if I admitted that outside of this thread!

Ugh time to get back to painting....anyone wanna come over and help??

  3. I did Pump 3 times a week for over a year a couple of years before I was banded. I was able to lift 25 kilos on a 5+ minute bicep track (quite a feat!) and I saw great results, but unfortunately because my technique was off when I was doing the squats and lunges tracks I developed severe patello femoral syndrome in my knees. I had intensive physical therapy for about 6 months after (and gained a heap of weight in this time cos I couldn't do any kind of exercise without pain), but was never quite right again. My advice is, go a little earlier to your first class and tell the instructor that you are new and you'd like him/her to keep an eye on you and your technique--don't be embarrassed to do this, you'll get the most of the class if you get the right technique from the beginning. Good luck!

  4. Merry Christmas everyone (Its 6am Xmas morning here!)! I hope that you spend your holidays with special people and have a wonderful time. Big hugs to those who have hard memories of this time of year *HUGS*

My day is going to consist of presents, lovely food, monopoly and chocolate martini's so I've been told by my Mum....bring it on! Can't wait for DH to wake up so we can exchange our presents, he has no idea I've bought him a BBQ so he can cook his steak the way he likes it (I don't do steak and am clueless about how to cook it "perfectly").

    MERRY CHRISTMAS again everyone!!!

  5. Good morning! 'Tis the last working day until Jan for me - yahoo! So many topics to catch up on...

Good to see you haven't lost your multi-quoting prowess Plain. Nor that you feel threatened or jealous of the addition of another man to the PJTP thread. Another man associated with a uniform (cammo)....wait, I drifted off there. No reason to be jealous Plain. Right ladies? That's it ladies. Use THAT tone - all men are suckers for it. Well, except Plain; he would never be fooled by false sincerity - he's too smart, too wise, too worldly....

Wine - only DRY, reds please. No sweet Reislings or champagnes...ew!

Mac - used to love it when my wet hair would freeze...I was about 12 years old then. Now - not so much.

She - how can someone hate onions???? That's like hating peppers or garlic - hating a staple of so may wonderous culinary creations.

She - painting with hubby. Perhaps use the strategy of: Dear, I know that you have worked so hard this year. Let me treat you to a nicely painted room. That way you do it - the right way; he stays out of it.

Dutch oven - don't have one. Make french onion Soup without it.

Onions, I know. It was almost a deal break for us LOL I HATE peppers though, so it evens out.........almost.

HE'S the one who said it was Ok for me to paint. I've picked the colour and all (we're getting vouchers to your equivalent to home depot for Xmas, yay!)!

I need that french onion recipe, please *begs*

  6. My current MIL is wonderful as well, but just not what I'm used to, lol. She is a stoner, hippie type. The first gift she ever bought for me was crystals. She's the sweetest thing, we just think differently. Also, since she was absent (at least mentally) for most of hubby's childhood, there's a bit of discomfort between us (my knowing family secrets, her feeling a bit of guilt for not being a better mother, etc)

Actually, this sounds a bit like my MIL to be honest, but DH and I have resolved that its better late than never in her trying to make up for her crappy parenting when he was a kid. She tries hard and acknowledges she wasn't the best Mum when he was growing up, and he's a big enough man to let her attempt to do better now he's an adult. She's trying to right the wrongs and that takes courage.

  7. Wow I feel really blessed with my in laws! They have every reason to hate me because DH moved from the US to Australia just to be with me (I stole their only child!), but his folks (who are divorced) and super supportive and very generous. His mother is a terrible gift giver (this may be because I have only spent a total of about 3 hours with her, so she doesn't know me that well) but with the crap gift always comes a generous cheque. They don't pressure us about kids and they always write that they love us both in cards/letters/emails (or say it when they leave messages on the answering machine). But maybe thats what you get when an ocean is separating you!

I haven't weighed myself for weeks and weeks. I know I've put on weight and thats why--I'm in denial about exactly how much...Come the new year thats ALL going to change though!

  8. Not true! the razor blade was descending towards my wrists even as you wrote that. Good thing you chimed in when you did....

Yeah REALLY good thing....I don't want blood on my hands!

Of course we miss you, She!!!

    Shrimp sounds delish!

    Forefox rocks muchly!!!

    Yay I was missed!!

PJTP: I want to make French Onion Soup but do not have a dutch oven. Should I spend $65.00 on a dutch oven just to have my favorite soup?? decisions, decisions......

Buy it and make me some PLEEEEEASE! I adore it but DH HATES onion so I can only ever have it out. Are you going to make the cheesy crouton things to go on top too?

Ok, so I am trying out this firefox web browser. How long did it take those of you that use it, to get used to it?

A few weeks for me. I hated it at first, but we have it at work now so its normal for me. Bear with it, it'll be worth it!

FB is my crack I tell ya!

Mine too. I'm like a darn junkie with it!

So my plan with my time off between Xmas and NYE is to paint our lounge room. On my own. When husband is at work. That way, our marriage might survive the painting. If we tried to do it together, we might just kill each other, because of course we both know the "right" way to do things. His right way is usually very different to mine!!

  9. No one ever misses me when I'm gone for a while *cries* :scared2:

I almost freaked out when I went to RNR and saw this thread missing. Happy with the move though, good idea!

beth - it was more of a sarcastic gag... nothing physical or pregnacy related... :)

I'm fine for the most part... sometimes I get kinda car sick when DH drives too fast & changes lanes too quickly, but the pregnancy is going well... only 'issues' I have are sinus-y and the sleeplessness.. but then I can chat with friends down under at 3am.. :):)

Yeah cos its a respectable 9pm here then :)

It is 4 below 0 out right now.... ***thinking of a nice warm carribean island***

    Brad

Come on over to Oz, its a comfortable 85 here tonight! I love a warm Christmas, makes the wine taste better with the massive fresh shrimp and lobster we have on Xmas day

I am a firefox girl as well. I love it!!

Yep, my DH converted me a little while ago. My IE used to crash ALL THE TIME. Firefox has never skipped a beat for me.

  10. confession time

i saw my ex today he met me at work to pick our son for the night ...and he was just staring at me it was so funny ..i said what are u looking at and he was like u look great ....so i think were going to have breakfast in the am when i get off work ...dont tell current bf..LOL

You go girl! I saw an ex of my last this week too. He treated me terribly when we were together (was sleeping with several much older women he met on a "adult" dating website while we were together). He caught my eye so I did the decent thing and said hi back as we passed each other in the mall but I wished afterward that I had of just ignored him. Good thing is I am about 30-40 pounds lighter now that I was when we were together and I was dressed very nicely that day.....I could tell he noticed this too. Revenge is sweet! :)

  11. But don't you want to 'own' your issue, and monitor your progress? You mean public humiliation isn't part of 'humor'????? So much for most comedy, video clips and youthful pranks. :tt2::)

Own it? Every other day I forget which personality of the 17 I have I am...how can I own it when I am that disoriented?

  12. Dr Plain

I do not think Anchorman is in the least funny, but that isn't a problem. In fact, that is probably a testimony to my sanity.

Look, my insanity is not a secret, but I prefer it not to brought up at every chance. Cheers.
