  1. :cheer2: Yes baby... we are ALL Losers!!:cheer2: LOL.. I LOVE Crosswinds posts... they always put my whiny butt in a better perspective with this thing called surgery we've all experienced... I've had the onset of crying for no reason just sat and bawled. and I've had the time where I literally broke down and cried in the arms of my son for almost 2 hours.. Ive realized I can't get in 64oz of Water no matter HOW hard I try I just can't but I do take my Vitamins and every morning I have unjury with Mootopia milk that gives me 32 grams of Protein, today for lunch I had refried Beans with sour cream and cheese and got 5 bites out of that and put it down... I am at the point that I'm tired of counting calories and Proteins because when you're as nutrition stupid as I am..it's WAY to much PRESSURE! If I grew up cooking I'd understand better, but I never learned to cook, had no desire to learn so this is all overwhelming to me.. grant it I'm almost 6 weeks post-op and it's NOT any easier for me.. so I eat and try some of the things you all post and I disregard those that don't work after I try, and I'm still losing; just slowly. I don't need to reach my goal in 2 months if it takes 6 that's OK at least I know I'll reach it and it's NOT coming back... And I've learned that I can't compare Crosswinds loss to Meggie's to Mine or anyone else.. we're all different and our bodies think and react differently... so in saying all that.. we're all on a journey that might come easier for some, harder for others, but in the end, we'll be where we wanted to be when we started and we're all going to be a lot healthier and happier. So I'll help y'all stay focused and positive if you'll all help me with the nutrition parts when I start to whine Love everyone here.. it's nice to be a part of forum without a bunch of haters complaining how it didn't work for them while they were chowing down on McDonald's 5 days a week and they swear it's their surgeons fault.. UGH I Love this place
  2. My daily is usually a 8oz Protein shake that takes me about 30 mins to drink... Then at 10 I'll have 2oz of Yogurt as a snack .. at lunch I'll have 2oz canned chicken w/little bit of Lowfat Mayo and 2 Wheat Townhouse crackers .. around 3 I'll have another Protein Shake and finally for dinner I'll have another canned chicken like lunch and around 8 I'll have a popsicle... the scale is NOT moving for the past 3 days I've gained 2lbs.. I was 225 but now Im up... what am I doing wrong?? The Dr. said to jump my calories to 800 calories and eating all that doesn't give me 800 calories i'm lucky if I hit 650. Any ideas? What times do you all eat?? I feel overwhelmed and lost and you'd think by now I'd learn how to do this VSG! UGH!! Thanks gang

  5. I'm still frustrated as hell... Ya know this can't be rocket science WHY am "I" so nutrition stupid... Today I had 4 bites of oatmeal for Breakfast no Protein drink, had 2 bottles of Water and 2 Popsicles.... for lunch I made Beef Stew one of the little microwave ones and blended it and ate it with 2 Whole Wheat Toll House Crackers and of course my Vitamins.... and as of now my readings are: Fat 15 Carbs 64 Protein 32 Calories 550 WHY can't I get my carbs LOW.. UGH and my Protein HIGH.... I would like to think I'm not this stupid LOL FRUSTRATED UGH UGH UGH... I think I need a nutrition course lol Ok I'll stop whining..

  9. I've never been a water drinker... Hell I've not been a drinker drinker LOL I do like the crystal lights but most are tangy and tart .. I use to like Diet Green Tea by Lipton, I could drink 6 of those a day LOL
  10. So you must eat like 7 - 12 - 5 roughly... and you drink just water in between? I just ate at noon and my tummys rumbling maybe it's not rumbling hell I dont know what it's doing LOL I hate water.. like I HATE WATER...I have a hard time getting one bottle down let alone 6

    I use Fatsecret.com on my iphone.. I like it cause I just scan the barcode and it fills it all in ... I don't have to think! LOL But I have NO CLUE how to eat as you know.. Wish I had a better handle on this.. I should have researched a little better and here I thought I did good LOL
  13. WOW I'm gonna have to hang out at Spark People... so basically I'm not eating right I'm relying only on my Protein drinks which are getting OLD... Thanks so much for the link and sharing what you ate.. that helps alot.. I really want some chili I'm thinking of going to Walmart and buying some cream cheese and deli meat and some chili LOL I can't thank you enough.. I'm afraid that here I drained my savings acct since I don't have insurance and I'm gonna screw this up..

    HAIR LOSS

    I started taking Biotin 5000 before surgery and my hair and nails are thick... But I also shampoo and condition with Nioxin 8 cause I have highlights in my hair. Don't use a brush when your hair is wet, use a pick and if you put a dryer to your hair do it on a cool setting every now and then don't blast your head with high heat <like I was> LOL
  15. I am 33 days out... I've stalled for a week and a half.. I've lost 23 lbs since surgery but I couldn't keep the mushys down nothing agreed with my tummy so I stayed on Protein longer. I average over 100g of Protein a day now that he's raised my calorie intake to 800.. now THAT is a chore to get in and I've YET to do it! The trick I've heard is alot of protein, and less than 10g of fat and 30g of carbs and it'll start moving.. me trying to do 800 makes those #'s go up so I've NOT mastered the damn thing yet and it's FRUSTRATING! LOL Hang in there.. the good thing.. it WILL come off... it may just take longer than others and it may go faster than some... just stay focused and do what you're supposed to do and having too much protein I'm told is NOT a bad thing so I suck down protein before I do anything else... and deviled eggs, refried Beans with sour cream & cheese are my two favs.. YUMMY!! Good luck to you all
  16. I was sleeved the 6th.. Lets see I've had 2 breakdowns and bawled my eyes out in my sons arms and shook and shivered for about 2 hours... I have tried everything imaginable..I LOVE refried Beans... I eat them and I take a bite every 5 minutes and I chew, mash, etc to keep it mushy and within 20 mins I'm miserable and I only get 4 bites in... I've tried Canned chicken in Water with Cream of Chicken & Herb Soup and blended it to runny soup.. and it came up in 10 minutes and I had the most awful cramps in my chest area thought I was having a stroke.. so no chicken for this gal... About the only thing i can muster to keep down is apple sauce and yogurt.. I've been on Protein shakes I really love powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury so I take a double scoop and Blender Bottle shake it or MagicBullet it into a frothy shake and that gives me double the protein and i don't mind just the liquid I actually felt better just on liquids... But now my Dr. says to raise it to 3 meals, 2 Proteins shakes and 64 ounces of Water a day an 800-900 calories... Ok.. HOW the hell do you expect me to do THAT? Hang on let me poop a watermelon cause THAT is what my stomachs gonna feel like after trying to get ALL that in! SERIOUSLY? How on earth can a 3 oz stomach hold all that... I mean really! I've stalled.. haven't moved for 3 days again.. I'm extremely tired, weak, dizzy and I walked for 2 hours today around the store looking for things to create and eat to reach 800 calories that I'm beat... I was told I'd never need to count calories again... WTH? WHO LIED! LOL Any input is graciously accepted and appreciated And when I come back as a new person.. I wanna come back as Tiffykins... without the pregnant part I'm 50 too damn old to be a new Mom... but boy she has this down to a freakin science! I just wanna live in her head through all this LMAO

    I think I'm going slow.... I have no idea.. I haven't lost any in almost 2 weeks.. I have no lost inches I'm still wearing the same clothes and it's been 32 days.. but I'm not discouraged I know it will happen I'm in the mushy stages but can only keep down deviled eggs, yogurt, refried Beans and Applesauce... My Dr just told me to raise my calories to 800-900 now i'm trying to figure out how the hell do you do that AND still get in your Protein AND your Water... My GOSH I am STUFFED... I feel so tired it's like all I do is eat.. I want to go back to the eatting 3 protein a day and thats it.. LOL Way to go on the weight loss.. Y'all are doing fabulous I can't wait to wear the "smaller" clothes that have been hanging in my closet but alas.. I can't yet but i WILL

    You will do awesome... Mine was done 32 days ago.. I was nervous crying in the pre-op room but ya know.. the alternative wasn't an option, I had just been diagnosed with Diabetes and after 2 weeks of poking my fingertips to where they ALL were purple and sore ... I knew I made the right choice... I'll give you word of advice from my nurse..She said when you see that Morphine light turn green. HIT IT.. she said you're stay in the hospital will be so smooth you'll sleep and I'll get you up to walk tomorrow and we'll hit it before you walk... and when I went for my scope she hit it again I don't remember tasting the barium or nothing I came back and it hit me and I passed out LOL... She hit it before my son took me home by the time I got home, it hit and I was out for the remainder of the night.. it was heavenly.. I woke the next morning and looked at my stomach and thought.. WOW the part he took out made me fat cause I have a smaller belly and it's FLAT.. then I knew I was on the right track.. Learning to eat is hard for me cause I was a once a day eater now I'm having to eat 3 meals and 2 Protein shakes and Im thinking how the hell am I gonna do that... then I wondered how did I get so fat cause I really don't like food other than Mexican food LOL... so it'll all work out.. this place is awesome for support don't be afraid to ask and don't be afraid to vent.. we ALL have.. Sending you Loving Angels your way tomorrow will be thinking of you!! Can't wait to take this journey with you!

  22. i've always seen myself as major obese like MONDO almost 700lb worth.. I couldn't ever see myself as the 279lb woman.. I'd ask my kids "Am I that size" use to drive them bonkers! I love that I've lost 50+ lbs as well... my problem... I keep buying clothes in the same size.. I have a whole closet full WHY am I buying clothes the same size.. I mean SERIOUSLY? What am I thinkin! I've decided I'm not spending any more money on clothes until the time i put on my pants and they fall to the ground on their own! My friend who also had the Sleeve done told me.. "If you don't come to grips with the fact that you're losing weight when you look in the mirror you'll never be able to experience the delight when you see yourself fading away.." Yeah but what does she know.. she's lost over 100lbs since December.. Ohhh... how I don't like her right now LOL ... J/K They say it'll come around.. You look fabulous.. congrats and keep pluggin along..

    Grasshopper *Howiing* I LOVE IT!! Yeah sweetcakes.. you ARE better than me cause you're succeeding and I'm a whiney butt... LOL and let me tell ya I have no idea what the hell a 36 bougie is but I'll take your word for it.. Hormones.. I don't think I have those anymore...they went with the ex-husband 27 years ago... *snort* Thats was the first time I'd lost 185lbs and I'm so glad to see him gone.. *Howling* Hopefully in a month I'll feel better...I keep trying things but I'm scared of failing.. I'm such a booger you'd think I'd grown a pair of kahoneys in my 50 years of life.. I swear! I just have to figure out HOW to eat so bloody much in such little freakin time ... But the FORCE is with me!!!
  25. Congrats on the new home hun... Way to go... but don't overdo it.. Let the hubby clean I was on Prilosic OTC.. Dr. said to take it for 30 days... maybe I need to go back on it.. I'm going to try the deviled eggs I LOVE Deviled eggs and just saw a post from you regarding it.. Oooo lala.. You take your time.. I am losing, I have moments I don't but it didn't go on overnight it's not gonna come off overnight.. Go rest!!
