Alot of surgeons have a program fee , my office was 500.00 for all aftercare meetings , back on track etc... but 2000 seems steep!

I was told it all depends on the size of your stomache when they go in. I was given the standard 10 CC band.

Kelly my Dr says proof over the aspirin thing was having his patient from another country take it for a sore knee without my Drs permission , which quickly caused a bleeding ulcer and he needed a blood transfusion because he almost bled out. My Dr is super specific about pain meds. He also said carbonation stretches the pouch and in his words "why do you want your pouch stretched after going through a surgery to keep it small" that changed my train of thought . ~Jennifer

I have BCBS ins of Georgia, same 90/10 . If the hospital was in network they cannot , i say cannot bill you more than your 10 % of what the insurance company deams usual and customary. If the hospital proceeds to bill you the remainder and they are in network , call BCBS and the insurance commisioner where you live.

Bandongal , I hear you, but you are at the im full stage . Believe me it comes where you are hngry and want to eat everything . I was banded the 17th and im there!!! only another week and 2 days till my fill!!!

Zen , the left shoulder pain is your sign you are very full!! at least you have a sign .

I told my surgeons office that my husbands insurance would most likely be changing so they were super fast scheduling me!!!

I for One cannot wait for my fill !! good for you kelly. Im at about 700-800 calories a day and starting to get pretty damn hungry. Egg beaters are my new best friend lol ! how many cc's did you get? :smile:

Kristy , i agree its a real treat!!! i loveddddd my soup. wierd how soup made me feel better!

I was a coke zero junky!!! gave it up a month before surgery . now i do sobe zero calorie drinks.

My fill appt. is in 14 days. I too am hungry alot, But making sure i stay in my calorie range. Im still on soft mushy foods and the list they gave me is small, so its easy to follow. If i feel deprived i go run to panara bread (for just me ) and get a chicken tortilla soup (its low fat) with no bread. It makes me feel like i can eat just like everyone else. Silly huh? ~Jennifer

Amanda , do smaller meals and add in a protein shake or two.

Jingleboob, We are almost at same surgery time. My dr said low fat cheese sticks in between are a great source of protein and keep you more "full" ive been doing this. ~jennifer

Geez id be annoyed!!! My surgeon gives all his patients his personal cell number ....I love my office .

my first fill is September 24th can't come soon enough!!!

Look up Dr paul wizman in Margate Florida , he does out patient for self pay patients and is one of the BEST in the country!!!

We all have to look at this for us . It is hard when people judge others. My self esteem gets hit hard if i perceive someone judging me for my weight. Here is what ive told my kids (my oldest being 18) , There is always something or things on your body that someone can make fun of you about, (then i went on to say) I better not ever here you mutter a negative comment to someone about their appearence. Well guess what, It worked!! my kids are kind to everyone , even befriending and helping mentally challenged kids. If we set our mindset to what i said above , i find its hard to look at anyone and judge them. I could find 6 or more things about me even when i become thin again , id change, so i best not judge other books by their covers.

Same with my hubby about 30 lbs . they lose it quicker too. Now if he would only try!!! It would make things good for both of us.
