  1. Keep it up! Remember why we did this! This is just like those construction road signs you always see "Temporary inconvenience, Permanent Improvement!" Going through this is Hell...Between fills, vomiting when I eat too much, Knees hurting when I exercise...But you know what? I am 32 and was 350 lbs. my weight was heading north by 10-15 lbs every year... As bad as this can get, It sure the heck beats the alternative which up until now was probably having my 2 beautiful 1 year old twin babies attend my funeral when they are 12...

  2. Congrats! I Just got Banded last night...What to expect your gonna feel groggy as heck when you wake up, Lots of shoulder pain. When you get home keep a bottle of Water next to your bed and sip through the night, really helped with the nausea and Pain med's disgusting taste. I did what the doctor said and went for two 30 min walks today- morning and evening and believe it or not it helped tremendously!! Gets all the gas out alleviates some pain. Good luck and keep us posted!!

  3. Hey Tori,

Don't Fret, I'm on day 7 and your right it's hell. I just make sure to keep a bottle of Water on me at all times...this seems to keep my hunger pains and heartburn to a minimum. Good luck and remember why you are doing this. Also on a personal note I think your Husband needs to have his head checked, you are going to need as much support as possible, the LAP-BAND® won't solve everything but if he cares about you he should support your decision to want to be healthy. It's not about "Moving more eating less" we have all lost the weight but almost always gain it back plus more, this is about making a decision that will help keep you healthy for the rest of your life.
