  1. My stuck goes away immediately after I vomit- lol. If I don't vomit it lasts a few minutes 15-20)
  2. Mine is right above my belly- button. I can feel it more now that I have lost weight
  3. Maggie I was hoping to be 100 lbs down by my 1 year band-aversary - but that's not going to happen. I am at 80 lbs and my 1 yr is on June 8. I don't need a fill either.
  4. My weight loss is also totally stalled. My doc isn't worries, but I have only lost about 5 lbs since February. I am trying to up my protein and increase water intake now- but it is HARD. I was prob only taking in around 20 protein a day and now trying to find a way to get to around 100 and I am finding it really hard
  5. Having trouble with there being less of me. Everyone else sees it, but I somehow think I look worse. It's a daily battle
  6. I am a stomach sleeper too and was banded June of last year. It took me about 2 weeks to be close to sleeping on my stomach (with a little help from a well placed pillow) and another couple for it to not be a concern. I am happy to say I sleep on my stomach every night with no pain and no worries
  7. I was at abt 500-700 calories til last week. After some advice here I am trying to up it to trigger some metabolism upping.
  8. I was banded last June and I lost pretty steady up until February of this year. I haven't lost more than 3 pounds since then, but I did drop a pants size. In my case I am having trouble increasing calories, protein and water intake.
  9. Hope everything goes well!! Let us know what the doc says
  10. No guilt necessary!! A treat is good thing. I wish I could get a donut down
  11. Sounds about right to me
  12. Gain 2-3 here along with sweet & salty cravings
  13. ARGH!! 180 - working on upping my protein and water intake to 80-100 a day
  14. that is what I am starting to think too (that I may be too tight). I was just at the doctor last week and he knows I am eating very little. He says my body may be trying to tell me to stop losing. He did give me diet pills to give me a boost. I am down about 80 lbs and in a size 10/12, but I am not happy with the number on the scale (abt 180) or the view in my mirror. I am trying to find new foods, but I am unfortunately very picky.
  15. Food was a good friend of mine too, bur breads and chocolate were my bff's forever (or so I thought). Can't tolerate bread much anymore (even toasted), but I can eat chocolate
  16. I have been filled 11 months and I have def thrown, blocked, stuck, etc. I am better at it not happening now, but there are days that everything sticks and others nothing does. I can't eat rice and I stay away from bread except for a rare occasion. Stuck isn't horrid. It's uncomfortable. But if you stretch out it usually helps. I have heard people sipping to get unstuck, but I do that I throw innediately
  17. I would have been thinking the same things you were Den. Every time the slightest thing goes wrong I find my inner hypochondriach
  18. How frustrating for you!! I am glad that you were pro-active and able to find a solution. Hoping that you get your doc to listen now.
  19. I have been trying to get my calories up, but it's hard! I can't eat all that much, but I am trying to get them up. Can't eat any fruits, but I have recently added lettuce to my diet again. My band is pretty tight, but I need to keep losing. thank you for your advice
  20. I recently read no asprin - but my doc had no problem with me taking Aleve, etc
  21. I have a (probably stupid) question. I have been reading that many of you drink about 100 oz of water a day - is that key? I admit I am not good at drinking water all the time - I prob don't take in 100 oz of any liquid during the day. If I start drinking my water will it help me start to lose again? I should prob add I take in maybe 800 calories on a bad day, around 600 on a good and haven't lost more than 3 pounds in the last 2 months
  22. what an awesome guideline.. I wish mine did that for me. I think I need to start listening to my band more....
  23. Sounds like people here are on the right track and you maybe too tight. I can't imagine drinking- it would def come right back up on me. I so a shake for Breakfast (slim-fast), even if not hungry to get some Protein in. Are you drinking your Water? I know when I don't I don't lose- Are you exercising? It's hard to get started, but once you get into it it should help
  24. I slept on my side from day 1- but couldn't sleep on my tummy for a few weeks. I didn't have any stitches, they closed me up with glue.
  25. Then link from Heather is great. I read it myself and also forwarded it to a friend who was recently banded too. I think doing your own research is key. My surgeon is great and seems to be a bit more personable than some others. We talk and decide together which route I am taking. I chose not to have a fill last month when I went, but he did give my Adiphex to see if we can kick-start my metabolism again and get some more weight loss going again. This site is also a great peer resource
