The fill went fine. My Dr would only put in 1cc at a time, I wanted 2cc. I have a 5cc band. The needle part wasn't as bad as I expected. They used an ultrasound machine to locate the port- so only 1 stick:clap2: . Okay, the bad news..... I gained 6lbs!!!!!:embarassed: I knew I would. Pray I feel some restriction! DR. said if no restriction in 1week will add more for free-(no office or fill charge!). So at least they want to get it right! I am on liquids for 24hrs and then we will see!! I read all about how everyone will PB if eat too much ect. I haven't had a fill yet... but get this. Ate something and was so nauseated I resorted to sticking my finger down my throat an making myself puke. Guess what... Cant puke! What does that mean? I needed to bad and had just ate the food... but couldn't bring up anything. Now I am worried band not in the right place or something. What do you guys think???:guess Turner24

I Agree Ralheight. My Own Family Does It! My Uncle Was Standing Near Me And My Son. My Son Came To Me And Said "mommy, Billy Said You Are Too Fat". Before I Could Answer My Uncle Said "well, She Is." I Have Needless To Say Had Little To Say To Him Since. Although In Essence He Is Correct. I Want To Teach My Son Some Sensitivity! Turner24

Well, I am going on buisness so the company is paying for the flight, I can't afford to buy another ticket, and I'm sure I don't want to say anything to them and suggest the idea!! I am flying US airways. I am also more "bottom Heavy". I wear a size 30- no where near a 16!! I am tall, so I hide it a little better than most, but I am sooo worried!!!!!!!!!:phanvan

I love anything to do with good smelling body wash/lotion! I also love candles. Can't wait to pick out something for a valued companion in this weight loss journey!!

I have had my 1st cola since surgery 10/30/06. Felt fine, anyone loosing and still drinking diet soda? They said it could stretch your stomach, but friend of mine lost 85lb so far(post band) and always drinks diet pop. Hi! I was banded on Monday and tried to go back on Wednesday....Bad idea!!:eek: I ended up taking the whole week off. When I returned the next Monday, felt fine!! Don't push it. You need at least a week to recover well. Pam Banded 10/30/06 12lbs lost 1st fill scheduled 12/4/06:clap2:

Okay, I guess we all have our reasons. I am a certified emotional eater!:huytsao And trust me; I'm emotional! I too am usually good all day, but when I put the kids to bed and turn on the TV.... Look out! I think about all my worries :faint: and then I eat. Anything. Even things I don't really like just to eat! It has been much better post band. Cause even when I eat a cookie, its just one! not the bag. I want everyone to know we are so in this together and I appreciate being able to come and bear my soul with the rest of you:nervous . Nurse Teresa, My credit sucks too! I used my mom to co-borrow w/me. Maybe someone in your family would co-borrow w/you? Something to think about. This is something to better your health for life! Family will be more apt to help than for something like a car. Yes, MRH is middletown regional hospital. Where do you work? I am also a nurse and work at united healthcare. Even working for an insurance company I couldn't get this covered!!!!! I have only had the band for 14 days. I hope I have lost some when I go for post op appt Wed. I feel like I am definately ready for a fill. I hope I can schedule one soon. I'll be praying for you! Turner24

Nurse Teresa, I used Dr.Kira Schofield at MRH. Had a good experience. I was a self -pay also. Used capitol one healthcare finance. price for band 12,499.00. Best of luck to you! Turner24

:help: Banded 10/30/06 1st week liquids 2cnd week mushy I am able to eat too much I think:omg: . I had a cup of Soup and some crackers well chewed and drank a small apple juice. I thought I wasn't supposed to be able to eat more than 1/2 cup. Could I need a fill at only 2 weeks post op?? How do I know I need a fill? Pam:confused:

I too am from Cincinnati! I had my lap band done 10/30/06 by Dr. Schofield at MRH. Went well and I like her. Have 2 week post op apt on 11/15/06. Have just progressed to Soups and mushy foods. :hungry: Everything seemingly fine. Would love to be someone's e-mail buddy for support if anyone interested:) . Hope all goes well. I have not stepped on a scale since pre-op appt. Starting wt 388lbs. Best of luck to you! Pam

Banded 10/30/06- Confused and scared to death of solid foods! I feel full with liquids still and its been 8days. Did anyone else feel afraid to eat?:nervous I hope to have lost some on on this liquid! First post op visit 11/15. Turner24
