Hello all, I was banded over a year ago and have only lost 50 lbs. I have been having back pain in between my shoulder blades for the second day now and think that it might be from the band. I have been having problems eating alot of different foods latley, everything seems to get stuck unless it is soft or liquid. I have also had alot of belching. I am wondering if this could be the pouch dialtion that I have been hearing about. I do not have vomiting or reflux, and no difficulty swallowing. Can anyone give some feedback. I need to know if I should see my MD. Thanks

Hi all, Had a fill this past friday, they were very agressive putting in 2cc. I still am not able to eat solid food, only full liquids or mushy. Today out of nowhere I am having abdominal pain above the belly button. Is this normal? Should I call the doctor?

Hi I had a fill of 1cc this past Weds. I followed the progression diet as instructed by my Doc. The first time I had solid food I did have a bit of a stuck period, but it passed and have not had one since. I am having pain in between my shoulder blades in my back and pain down one arm. Has anyone experienced anything like this before and should I call the doc?:thumbup:

I started drinking decafe about a week after surgery, but am back to drinking lite caffeine coffee and drink 1 sometimes 2 cups a day.

Thanks for the info and support. I am still in pain, but not as bad. I think that the pills got stuck and have caused some swelling, so I am doing liquids today to see if it gets better. I have had no PBing and were unable to bring up anything when I tried last night.

I took some pills yesterday and have had pain in my chest and between my sholder blades since. I have tried to bring anything back up without success. I am able to drink fluids and ate dinner last night. Can I be partially blocked and how long can it last? Also aside from drinking hot fluids what else can I do?

I know that I am not suppose to use any product with aspirin or ibuprofen, but I had a horrible migraine and took two excedrin migraine tabs that are enteric coated, since that I have had bad chest pain that has not subsided. Would one dose of medicine cause a ulcer that quick or is it maybe inflamation?

thx for the post. Today I am having chest discomfort, but am able to drink and eat. I am too so afraid of slippage. Are there other reasons for chest discomfort/

Ok so today I had my first fill and recieved 1cc. I was told to only consume clear liqs for the rest of the day then progress to full liqs tomorrow and then mushie the day after. Is this normal for all? I am straving.:biggrin:

Hello all April bandsters, I was banded on April 29th and am 4 weeks post-op. I can't really determine if I have any restriction since my Doc has a very regimented diet that goes in stages. I am still in the mushie stage for another couple of days and am only allowed to have 1oz of protein for three meals and then protein shakes in between. I have not had any regurgitation or slime, but then again I am barley eating. I have lost 21lbs total and my clothes feel real lose. I can really see the difference in my face. I am exercising, but nto every single day, my bad. I get my first fill on June 2nd, so we will see how it goes from there.
