Hello~ I am hypo too but haven't taken my meds since surgery because I was afraid to swallo them lol. So my question to all of you is, The pill doesn't get stuck? I was tld by my reg doctor to dilute the pill in a lil bit of water but it tasted nasty so I didn't do it again.

Hello~ I live in Ventura and the Dr. I first saw here had a $3,900 program fee that I could not afford. So I did some research and found Dr. Feiz in Beverly Hills. I had my surgery last Thurs July 8, Thank God I didn't have any gas pain. I hope you feel better soon. As far as the post op diet goes I also wonder why doctors say different things. I am on a week 1 & 2 liquids, week 3 & 4 mushies, and week 5 start trying diff food to see what I am ok with. I wish I was on mushies already. I am so tired of the shakes, juice, broth, jello etc. The ones that are on mushies what is it you all eat?

Thank you all! I am glad I found this site, even though I do get scared and nervous about the surgery it really helps to read about all the people that are getting it done on a daily basis and come back to tell their story. I am so ready for my new life! :ohmy:

Hello~ My surgery is on July 8th also, my doctor told me to start a liquid diet on the 1st, so I will be on it for 1 week before the surgery. I am able to drink protein shakes, water, broth, the liquid from soups, & juice. I see your from Northridge, I live in Ventura & will have my surgery done in Huntington Beach. 10 days 14 hours & 23 minutes till my surgery, but who's counting right! Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I am so excited about the new journey I will be ennbracing, but at the same time I am so scared of the surgery! Like honestly all of you that have already had the surgery & the ones that are in the process of it, did you, do you think of the what if's? At times I get so scared that I will die in the surgery, it's a feeling that really makes me nervous, makes me really scared! At night when I am putting my kids to sleep I hug them & kiss them goodnight and it comes to my mind that I might not be here soon to keep on doing that ! I don't wanna get that feeling. I don't wanna be scared! I am 292 lbs, but other than that I am healthy. No diabetes, no high blood pressure, no cholesteral no nothing. I know there some ppl that have the surgery and they have co mortalaties and they come out great from the surgery. So why do I get so scared when I know that I am a healthy person, a healthy morbably obeses person that is. Please let me know if any of you went thru this before your surgery. Is it normal???

Hello~ I start my liquid diet on your surgery date. My surgery is on July 8 so I have to do 1 week liquid diet pre surgery. What I was told that I can drink is protein shakes, soups (just the liquid), juice, water, and broth. Good luck on your journey!

Hello~ My surgery is on July 8th, and I am sooo worried about the pre op diet, and the 2 weeks post op. What does your list say you can have? I was told, protein shakes, water, juice, soup, and broth. How I will survive on just that I don't know. hehe!

My same thoughts :cursing: Very lucky of you, they didn't have you do any of the routine tests to get cleared? and in 1 week you were able to get the money from your mortgage? (read that off your blog) How did you manage all of that? Give me some pointers kuz mine is taking for ever

OH WOW!!! Hehehe I am sorry but I just had to laugh kuz I would so totally do that too. In all honesty I am so scared that I won't make it out of the surgery room, but in reality I am at more danger not getting it done. I hope there is a nurse Bridget when I go in for mine, so she can be there for me as yours was. :thumbup: I am so looking forward to reading everything from you as you start this wonderful journey.

Congratulations! I had been reading a blog the last couple of days of this one person who has only lost like 5 lbs since getting her lapband 2 months ago, and believe me I was SO discouraged, but now reading about you I am so ready for my band day to get here and take the bull by the horns and start shredding off the pounds. :thumbup:

Hello~ I am in the process of getting banded, I still don't have a surgery date set yet. I have already done the blood work, Upper GI scan, abdomen ultrasound & the stress echo test. On the 12 I have my psycologist counsulation & sleep consultation, then on June 8 I have a meeting with the dietitian, hopefully the give me a surgery date after that. As much as I am excited about the process and the new healthy me that will be emerging, I can not help but be very scared. Scared that I will not suceed on this, or that I will be in so much pain, ugh so many emotions!!! Any feedback would be really appreciated! Thank you!
