Today is the 10 month anniversary of my band and I love it! Met my mid-range goal unofficially today by being under 200 lbs for the first time in 34 YEARS, also met my added personal goal by doing by my 50th bday next week!. I say officially because I don't go back for fill/check until 2 March.
I don't read or post much - but am not sitting at computer all the time like I used to do. I feel like I am living life rather than just observing life.

If you are not hungry between meals and getting all your nutrients, you may not need a fill at this time, but check with your dr office.

Being able to buy clothes at 'normal' stores - JCP, Kohl's, etc.
-
I'm in the federal employee health benefit with BCBS - I was approved within day and half.
-
My dr does his ports in the left shoulder area, near underarm. Fills are a breeze - I love it!

Was banded on 6 May, went for fill today and I hit my first (short-range) goal of being less than 40 BMI !!! On to next goal.
-
I was banded on May 7 - because I was so out-of-shape, I have started slowly, doing little things to help build up my activity level. Parking further away, window shopping, working more in the yard are some of things I have done to increase my activity level.
I also do exercises in my swim spa now up to about 30 minutes at a time 4-5 times a week, because I do have more energy.
I still have my computer time tho. lol

Am testing having two tickers
-
Dumb question - how do you guys do the double tickers ???

Thanks for the ideas - I too had been trying to find unflavored Protein, something not sweet-tasting.

I also have started losing gobs of hair - I still have plenty, but if it keeps at this rate, it will be thin soon. My dr office said it also could be reaction from the anesthesia.

There are also plenty of people with gastric bypass that do not lose weight - I had gastric bypass in 1994. Lost about 20 pounds that's all but I did manage to stay within the same 5-10 lbs for about 10 years (i had never stayed the weight over time, it was always lose some, gain more back, etc.)
After the ten years, i added 5-10 each year all the way back to 290. It did cure me of the eating sweets and sugary liquids (dumping syndrome), but I could eat bread, Pasta, rice, potatoes with no problem - I had no restriction when I ate, things just flowed right thru.
I was banded in May and feel as if I have been given a new chance. So for me - the band is the best way to go!

Hi - I guess I'm a Bagnato Bandit too. He did my band on May 6, am down about 32 lbs including the pre-surgery.
Next fill is 22 July- hoping I won't get so hungry after the fill kicks in. Someone had fried chicken at work today and that kicked off my craving for fried chicken - my tuna just did not hit the spot, but I persevered - still no fried foods.

I've put my name and goal in the spreadsheet.

Welcome, I live in Georgia also (SW Ga) - I was banded May 6 - so I'm early in the process, but I have no regrets.

I was banded on May 6, have lost total 32 lbs as of first fill on Jun 17. Am not feeling restriction yet and having no problems eating or drinking, at least I'm getting all my Protein and Water.
At fill, I was told probably not feel much restriction until next fill or two - but as long as I making healthy food choices - not to worry too much about the scale right now.

I lost 12 lbs between 1 week postop visit and first fill five weeks later.

My port is in my left shoulder near underarm area, it was the most painful of my incisions when being banded, but it makes fills a breeze!
I can feel it, but it's not visible.
-
I had a long history of losing some and gaining more - this is a tool for ME to break that cycle.
-
Got my first fill today since being banded on May 6, found that I have larger band rather than smaller one, but no problems at all with fill itself.
My surgeon puts the port in the shoulder area on left side, near the underarm area - I guess that makes it easier than in stomach or abdomen area.
Will be liquids today/tomorrow, but regular food after - before fill had no problem with chicken, steak, pork (except I could eat too much) and didn't stay full long. I'm not complaining about journey so far, just hoping it gets easier.
-
I too have had a problem with bad breath - a sweet taste in mouth that I can't seem to get rid of. It does make me not want anything sweet thought.
-
I had bypass back in 94 but didn't lose much (about 20 lbs) - the biggest thing it did for me was stop the sweets (dumping syndrome) and stayed relatively the same weight for about 10 years, then started gaining about 5-10 lbs a year.
I got banded on May 6 - I feel like I have been given another chance.

I was banded on May 6, have lost about 12 lbs since then. Am having trouble sticking to the 1-2 ounce portions - am hungry most of the time and not having any trouble eating. Also having trouble with drinking slowly - have not mastered the 5 minutes per ounce.
First fill is Jun 17 - on the bright side, I am drinking plenty of Water and eating much more healthier than before with no cravings for sweets.
-
I was banded on 6 May, I too got so sick of sweet stuff - when dr said I could go to mushy - I had some v8 juice - it tasted sooo good. Then went to TX for niece graduation, the guacamole and hot sauce were wonderful.

Got my first ever brand-new bike - just for me and am having so much fun riding around the neighborhood! I had not ridden in about 40 years, so if I can do it any body can. I am having trouble recognizing me in pictures - I was always the heaviest one but not now. I love my band and my new life, though I would like to get work done on mysaggy stomach, breasts and arms, so now I'm starting to save for that kind of work.
