Hello Neennicole, welcome!!Dr Chris recommends a low fat diet for the 2 weeks, in order to shrink your liver. You may also want to buy some Milk Thistle pills which are great for cleansing the liver.
Good luck hunny.

I am in London! Just got here from NY Saturday. My trip to Brussels is booked and I'm leaving on Wednesday. I'm getting a little nervous about the post-op diet. Does the doctor give specific written instructions or is it just sort of up to us to figure it out ourselves? I'm not familiar with the foods here in London and have no idea what to buy for the two weeks immediately post-op. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know the best way to get from London to Dr. Chris's clinic? My surgery is June 25th and I haven't booked transportation yet.
Was anyone else afraid they would be the only one this surgery didn't work for?

I am booked for June 25th! I am so ready, but still super nervous! Does anyone know the website to book a plane ticket from London to Brussels? I went with the package they offered, so I won't have to worry about taxis or hotels. Is anyone else getting banded around then?

Hi! This is my first post, so I'm a little nervous.
I live in the States, but will be in London June 18 - July 10. Do you think I am too close to schedule a surgery in Belgium for around that time? How did you all get in contact with the surgeons?
Does anyone know of any other good surgeons in Belgium just in case I can't set a date during that window? Is it required to do an initial meeting in the U.K.?
Has anyone gone by themselves? My husband has to work, so I would be going through the whole process alone. Is it naive to think I can do that?
Does anyone know if I would be able to get fills in the States if I am banded in Belgium?
Any and all information would be very much appreciated!!

I Can Feel My Band Through My Abdomen

I was banded June 2010 and got pregnant nearly immediately after. In my 2nd trimester of pregnancy I noticed that I could feel a lump when I pressed down where the band was. The doctor said it was likely due to the fact that my organs were being moved to make room for the baby. Well, I am 6 weeks postpartum and I can very easily feel my band when I press on it. What is going on?
