So my surgery is in 9 hours and I'm sitting in my room crying like a little baby. I have severe panic disorder and when I had lapband surgery 6 years ago (first ever surgery) I felt like I was suffocating when they put the oxygen mask on. I tried to jump off the surgery table then in 10 seconds I was out but I swear I have post traumatic stress cuz now all I can think of is going in there tomorrow and that suffocating feeling. I feel like I fought so hard to get this surgery now I'm being a big cry baby

I have to be at the hospital at 530 am.... FREAKING out!!!!

My surgery is Tuesday as well and for some reason I cried like a little baby allllll day yesterday watching my niece eat a subway sandwich lol

My surgery has been pushed back to the 17th. My uncle passed away this morning and I have to fly to Chicago so I won't be back for the 10th :-(

Ughhh im on day 3 of the 14 day liquid pre op diet and haven't had any protein. Tried Syntrax, EAS, Pure protein.... They all taste funky

Since I have the band, I have followed up with my surgeon every year for adjustments so he wrote the insurance a letter of medical necessity

I'm converting from Lap Band to Sleeve. Submitted through Health Net PPO. Nothing is wrong with my band, just not working. They just needed it documented that I failed to lose the weight within 2 years.

We have the same date!! Starting my liquids today

I start my 14 days on Monday. I had lapband in 2008 and by day 4 of that pre op diet I was cussing everyone out lol

I have to do 2 weeks starting Monday .. Uggh

Lapnicky, That's what I did too. Purchased Healthnet PPO effective Jan 1, papers submitted Jan 10, approval Jan 16 and surgery will be Feb 10.... So happy to get this band out and sleeve in

Ok Guys, my surgery is scheduled for Feb 10. I got Lap Band 6 years ago, and it just hasn't worked out. I am listening to everyone talk about how its hard to get liquids in, and the chest pressure etc....When I had the band, I didn't have any problem with sipping or anything, and when I had the Upper GI after, the lady administering it made me take gulp after gulp. That wasn't a problem with the band, but how on earth can you keep drinking the barium with the sleeve if we can't really even sip Water right for a while.....Just curious :-)

I have been so excited until now, and now I'm scared..lol. I have panic disorder and when I had lap band and they put the oxygen on me, i had a panic attack and tried to jump off the operating table. Hope this time is smoother for my nerves. Nice to meet U !

Yay got my approval today!!!! Surgery Feb 10!!!!!

My coordinator keeps telling me to call. But every time I call I'm in hold 25 min or more... Grrrrrr it's been submitted since 1/10

I'm not aware of any tubes... Are you sure she didn't have the band?
